As anyone with real recall, rather than one distorted by prejudice, knows I have always said I have no special regard for Biden. Because I don’t. He is average in my book, but that still puts him many grades above Trump. Perhaps that’s why the confusion arises. When I have stood up for him it was to counter some of the nonsensical assertions that were levelled at him here, which at times have been farcical.

I see Trump has been let off the hook on a technicality by the Judge in the retention of documents case in Florida! First the Supreme Court grant him immunity. Now a Florida one decides he can retain state secrets. Yet some think the law is out to get him! What a joke. If I believed in conspiracy theories these last few days could be presented as an enormous one. I don’t know if the special prosecutor can appeal but it has already been delayed, quite deliberately, so long it will now make no difference to the election. Which was the whole point. Why do so many of the American people fall for this?

Judge Cannon is a Trump appointee, naturally. Just happens to be on the day before the republican convention.

Why do so many of the American people fall for this? I’m sure you would accept a technicality for you or yours so don’t come all the sanctimonious claptrap. Trump is again exonerated and you can’t handle that he’s innocent. He’s coming and he will MAGA

An appeal can be lodged and I am sure it will be; however, yet again the issue is timing and so many of the cases have essentially been kicked so far down the road that they will be unlikely to ever come to trial. As a matter of interest, why do you think he is innocent? Surely, piles of boxes containing apparently highly sensitive information and stored in bathrooms etc would tend to suggest otherwise? Again, I wonder how they got from the White House to his golf resort in the first place unless he specifically gave his approval?

In a literal sense he probably isn’t agreed but if a court says you are not going to get prosecuted for a certain charge you are innocent. I do also think this may be a technicality as a certain standing president may be up for the same charge soon.

I can see where you are coming from; however, Biden - and Pence from memory - quickly returned whatever documents they held and there were no further charges. Trump's case however, has significant differences in that he obstructed the documents being returned and then lied about it.

There has to be a back story to why trump got off this. Strange how it’s the day after he nearly got popped !

According to reports he'd also had these files moved to different locations. One question is why? What was he planning to do with the information? The only explanation I've seen is that it appealed to his ego just to have them.
