You actually wrote that with a straight face? Well, we have a difference of opinion ( as opposed to a disagreement of fact ) Originally posted by DanH
There’s no assumption of guilt. It’s keeping him away from the spotlight while everything is still ongoing. So much of this ‘cancel culture’ bollocks is people just fundamentally not understanding things.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

OK. Your use of the word editorial is incorrect. "Other side of the world ", there are no words to the address the stupidity of this comment. No, I do not know the lottery numbers but you seem to believe such a thing is possible. Originally posted by Wisbech Eagle
I see. You know better than the BBC managers who made the decision, even though you are on the other side of the world and have no direct information. Do you know this week's lottery numbers?

Nice mental health jibe. I'm fitter, smarter and younger than you, and I didn't get to retire by conning people out of their savings.

Your name suggests you either live in, or come from, Hong Kong. Which may not be exactly halfway round the world but having been there many times I know is 11 hours flying time away. If you live there, no argument possible. If you don't now, you did once, so whilst the reason is less persuasive, it is still valid.

Irrationality can have physical roots. Pain or indeed tiredness can bring it on. You might be younger, I'll take your word on that, but fitter? Impossible to know, but I am much fitter than the average 77-year-old. Only today, someone asked me if I qualified for something by being over 60. Smarter you aren't. Why on earth do you think I have conned anyone out of their savings? I worked in the City in insurance for 4 years, as my first job. I then became a salesman in an unrelated industry, ending up as the Managing Director of a Company you will have heard of, and probably bought their products. Then I owned 2 businesses of my own, and employed quite a lot of people, before I fully retired at 68.

This thread seems to have sunk to little more than a personal slanging match between several posters, and is not acceptable.

You might want to look at some of the other threads as well even I am getting bored of all the mud slinging.

It has all been getting rather BBS in the politics forum. Eventually it always gets personal. Although as a spectator, it has been mildly amusing, I was minded of the following observation: There are no 'winners' in internet arguments. Just losers
