Todays second download is only the second bootleg by this band that I've posted. They are called Point Blank and they are a southern states rock band who released 6 albums between 1974-82. In 2005 they re-united to do a benefit gig - and they are still going!. This boot was recorded in Memphis Tennessee in 1981 and is in superb quality. This show was also recorded and broadcast as one of the famous King Biscuit Flower Hour radio shows. A great set which finishes with a cover of the Deep Purple classic "Highway Star".............. start tuning the air guitar..... Todays first download is a wicked set by Boston which was recorded in Cleveland, Ohio in September 1976. This is the first tour the band did after the release of their debut album "Boston" - which was a massive no.1 album Worldwide and which also had the single "More Than A Feeling" on it. Considering that band founder Tom Sholtz played almost everything on the studio version - with Brad Delp doing some guitars and backing vocals - the live band handle the tracks well.... This boot is in superb quality and the audio taken from pre-fm broadcast by WMMS-FM. This is thoroughly recommended.... a great boot...... Todays second download is the first by this artist that I've posted, and it's a gig from Crystal Palace Bowl in 1992. The artist is Albert Collins and the Icebreakers and a set recorded at the Midsummer Blues Festival by the BBC and broadcast on FM radio. This is in superb quality and a wicked blues set with some great guitar work. This is thoroughly recommended - any HOL'ers at this one ? Todays extra download isnt a bootleg - but it is a live album. This is Frank Zappa - Live at the Hammersmith Odeon, London in 1978. This is a great set with some real classic FZ tracks. This live album is far better than the bootlegs that exist of this show.... a must have for all Zappa fans......
