Brexit could definitely be a success. But the degree of faith I have in the current government, who managed to f**k up a dead cert landslide election makes me want to say they could burn a f**king salad.

If leave was such a good idea, why did Nige and co consistently talk about Switzerland and Norway? Every single interview, debate, Question Time appearance. "Switzerland, Norway, Switzerland, Norway" Oh yeah, because he was manipulating the country into believing that there are other countries out there who freely trade with their neighbours in the largest economic block in the world without having to abide by all those "silly regulations" by those "unelected buerorcrats in Brussels", who seem to love nothing more than pissing Britain off. But yeah it turns out that's not true is it. This idea that we're gonna go accross the world with our 65 million customers and have a trading arrangement that's more prosperous for us than the single market without any regulation is delusional beyond belief. No one wants the country to fail, so you can throw that at me all you want, but at least be honest. The only reason for Brexit is not liking immigration, it winds me up when people don't admit that, the rest of the argument is twisted and stupid mantra about control and sovereignty that is exposed time and time again. Only if it directly affects them very negatively - other people don't matter - would they even consider the opposing arguments and a reality and even then they would have to bashed around the head with their P45s and last pay packet in coins for about a week for it to sink in.

Actually it would not be a great surprise to me that brexit is not about the UK leaving the UK but the opposite. The EU is leaving the UK. Got space for one more on the boat?
