I think that hospitals have way more capacity than that.
Where Covid is concerned there are a huge number with no cases at all

I've heard the Nightingale hospitals are not even open.

Every opinion is relevant as long as you have seen both sides. By your own admission, yours is not.

My argument is that different scientists are saying different things, and the Gov are taking advice from mathematicians and scientists who have got things spectacularly wrong in the past.

In the past with no actual numbers.
This advice and the responses are taken against real figures, real death rates, real infection rates.
That a good enough opinion, if I'm allowed obviously!

Whitty and Valance have history of overstating predicted deaths. Yet the government still listen. Without looking at other evidence. Much like yourself.

Are you like this whenever someone has a different opinion? Home must be very quiet.

I'll discuss anything with anyone who listens. You can have any opinion you wish, but if you refuse to hear other opinions, there can be no debate. I get asked why I question everything. The reason is, if you don't ask questions, you don't learn. You seem to accept what Whitty & co says, without question. I seek out other scientists opinions. You don't. So you have nothing to measure it with.

But why would what you research be categorical and correct.
I've seen nurses and doctors say how bad this is.
Scientists dont look after the patients. They look at figures. Human first hand descriptions would imo be the place to look for the truth.

And I've seen doctors and nurses say it's not so bad. Sometimes the figures are manipulated (think unemployment numbers, immigrants, homeless people). Why they manipulate the numbers is political. This is medical. I know of not one case of the virus from anyone I know personally. Family, friends, work colleagues, none. Nor from this or the neighbouring villages. My wife is a gardener. Almost all her clients are in the vulnerable category. None died. How is that possible?
