I think he got slaughtered last time which was a little unfair. Transfer dealings are a murky business and we seem to be expert at pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.

Personally I liked his posts and as has been stated, nothing is clear cut about transfers. Watch Sunderland til I die documentary. The saga with Niasse as well.

I have a feeling that we will try and get Bats on loan from Chelsea and maybe Cenk Toscun if he is fit by the end of the September window. I would be very surprised to see us spending large sums on any player.

I'm going to try and be positive and hope that at least one of these comes off: [Link] If we got two of them suddenly things would really start to look more rosy after finally signing a new right-back. Edouard would probably only be here for a season before someone bought him off us, but it would be a massive sign of intent if we got him (however unlikely that is). Eze and Watkins are more realistic targets, especially if Brentford fail to get promoted, but both look quality.

As much as I’d love any of those three - I just don’t see any of them happening. I think they’ll be too expensive - could be more like Maya and if Fulham don’t come up Mitrovic (who I’d be delighted with).
