“Would you have been one of the ones to move if it had worked in there favour or do you sit elsewhere ?” Elsewhere, so I accept the implied accusation that it’s easy for me to say. However I’m not far away and if they ever wanted my seat for the greater good then I wouldn’t have a problem with it. At the end of the day, it’s just a plastic seat for goodness sake. Give them a copy of ‘Who Moved My Cheese?’ and tell them to get over it. I know I’d rather sit in a different seat and enjoy a cracking atmosphere with the stand rocking, than remain where I am watching in a sterile atmosphere. Before the Holmesdale stand was built the hardcore singers were free to congregate in a central position behind the goal. Going all seater and reducing the capacity put a stop to that. By organising, the HF have been able to recreate those conditions with a few modern embellishments. And it has been a tremendous success. In the anodyne, corporate PL era, our atmosphere stands out. It’s admired on a global basis. It’s what makes us different. And now we want to chuck it away! So self destructive; so Palace.

Good post . Steve Parish was quick to prais the Hf and included them in his advertising campaign when promoting all the good things about cpfc .So why no comments regarding situation? Before everyone says get over it it’s only 100 or so , It’s obvious that they have been missed and underestimated there Backing . Needs a solution or a part of our identity will be lost for good .

All of these points made on both sides are fair points. It doesn't change the fact though that love or hate them the HF walked away. Withdrawn support or disbanded as an inner fanbase. Whatever way you look at it they are gone. Ok, some believe they are at the games distributed amongst us but that still removes their presence and their organisation from the club.

Were you singing or do you sing? Of the hundreds of BBS whiners, they can’t all be singers so are whining nobody is doing it ‘for the club’ or ‘the greater good’ etc I’ve read recently. I bet their voices weren’t hoarse on Tuesday morning either. Yes I do sing. What's the BBS got to do with this? This is the HOL. I do agree with you that people are lying when they say they sing non stop for the whole game. I can admit that I don't sing non-stop for the whole game. However if you have a go at someone got not singing you will no doubt be retorted by the 'I can support the club however I like'... 'I've been a fan since the 1930s,....'I pay so I can do what I like' etc
I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that. |

Not so much when we're doing badly. Guess that makes me a bad fan.

Sums it up perfectly for me. Whatever we think about thd loss of thd atmosphere, it's thd HF who have decided to jack it in. And from what I can see, have burnt their bridges, fir this season af least. So time to move on.

They choose to disband nobody forced them out. If you think our identity as a club is defined by a 100 people singing and waving banners, your misguided. Its whats happens on the pitch that counts, very little else. Edited by Painter (22 Aug 2018 8.28pm)

I want to sit next to Steve Parish but that Mark Bright is always there. Current status; boycotting.

But it also appears that our club have not aided those that have done more for our club, outside of the boardroom, than anyone else for many years now. Our loss as a club. Simple as that.

As far as I can work out, no one knows exactly what has gone on between the club and the HF, IF anything, but the conclusion is now that it’s all the HF fault they have throw toys out of their pram because they couldn’t get their own way. something doesn’t make sense here
