No.Good try at suggesting white racism is somehow ok and that whites are discriminated against in that regard but it's not. Working from this rough definition of racism :the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races and/or prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. Whether something is anti semitic or racist depends...so,for example,if I feel threatened when charged by locals after an away game back in the day,I may be Jewish but its not anti-semitism. If someone objects to a white person who doesn't like immigrants because they aren't white, doesn't make that racism against the white person. Jewish racism-dodgy et al Criticising xenophobes and/or racists, not dodgy. Fascist wannabees:well dodgy Edited by legaleagle (15 Nov 2017 7.29pm)

I would like your business card cos you'd be defo the legal representation I would be looking for I see you haven't read Jamie's post pinned to the top of General Talk either.I won't descend to your level. Your post,I would humbly submit, says somewhat more about you (and your knowledge or lack thereof) and demonstrates how little you know about racism and anti semitism in Poland in the present day. Or the war:look up Jedwabne. Or when the surviving Jews returned after the war and tried to reclaim their property stolen by locals:Look up kielce pogrom. Last weekend's march was organised by a committee of far right-wing groups, its sponsors included one faction, known by its Polish acronym, ONR, with radical fascist roots going back to the 1930s, and deeply influenced by Nazism; another, known as All-Polish Youth, has its own fascist history. Both were known before and during World War II for their violence against Jews, including massacres in the case of ONR. Meanwhile, Poland’s state television network, TVP, which is under the governing Law and Justice party’s control, described the event as a “great march of patriots” that drew mostly mainstream Poles, even as a demonstrator interviewed by TVP said he was on the march to “remove Jewry from power.”The irony being the pre-war Jewish population of 3 million is down to an estimated c 7,000 Yes,brave Poles fought in the RAF and the army in WW2 (I used to go out with the daughter of one!) and some good folk helped Jews in Poland in the wear and POles suffered awfully under the Nazis. But,that's no excuse for the pervasive anti-semitism there that along with other naff related traits has reared its ugly head as acceptable discourse since the ironically named Law and Justice party came to power.A University of Warsaw study released earlier this year concluded that 56 percent said they would not accept a Jewish person in their family.Very noble and anti extremism of all sorts..not. Got any Polish family to base your "knowledge" on? I have... Are you thinking you will be banged to rights for something naughty in the near future that you will need a lawyer for, then? Hope its not connected to the FLA. Edited by legaleagle (15 Nov 2017 7.57pm)

Hope its not connected to the FLA. The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. His heart sank as he thought of the enormous power arrayed against him, the ease with which any Party intellectual would overthrow him in debate, the subtle arguments which he would not be able to understand, much less answer. And yet he was in the right! They were wrong and he was right. [Orwell, '1984'] (Apologies if you are a party member, no offence meant - Happy Christmas.)

I believe Robinson attended the October march. As the Independent put it:"Tommy Robinson the group's (EDL's)founder was present at the march and occasionally mobbed by fans". While on the topic of FLA and extremism, the real attitude to racism among some key FLA figures is also gruesomely illustrated by a photograph, showing central FLA figure Phillip Hickin and his cronies dressed up in antisemitic costumes designed to mock orthodox Jews. The photo was also posted on Facebook by at least two more of the FLA’s banner carriers, who also appear in it. As you appear to have a keen interest in TR, you may like to listen to his own account of his trip to Poland, instead of getting your views from articles written with, most likely, third hand information: I'd be keen to hear if your opinions have changed once you've listened to it, as you'll be a lot more informed on the subject.

I based my view on TR himself. My view was based on TR's own Twitter post, which I quoted on this thread earlier this week. "I have had an amazing time with polish patriots marching against Islam . Polish pride is something else." Did you read it? Funny that his opposition to all kinds of extremism doesn't seem to include the following openly on display at the march: One banner read: “White Europe of brotherly nations,” while upon another was written: “Pray for Islamic Holocaust.” Chants of “pure Poland, white Poland” and "refugees get out” were reported and others waved flags adorned with far-right insignia. One participant told the state-run TVP he was marching “to remove Jewry from power.” Opposition to extremism in action indeed.

How could anyone possibly think there was anything dodgy about a person opposed to all kinds of extremism attending and waxing lyrically about a march who's organisers included the All Polish Youth, National-Radical Camp and the National Movement, all of which have roots to pre-World War II anti-Semitic organisations. National Movement bears the same name as a 1930s organisation that advocated the complete eradication of Jews from Poland. How could it be possible to find a better bunch of lads who are non- racist and are simply opposed to extremism in all forms?
