Some interesting points in the Spectator about the Tory PR machine feeding the press and also some newspapers' wanting to create nazis as it makes better headlines.


Saw it on Newsnight. Farage defended himself pretty well. Tory "MP's with BNP history" etc etc.

Let's be honest here. Would you want a group of Romanians moving next door to you? Imagine it is a mixed group. No discernible family logic but a group. Would you tut and ignore it, welcome it as part of the multicultural idyll the left strive for or be concerned that house prices will plummet because all sorts of s***e will be dropped on the pavement and left there?

Some people wouldn't want a group of UKIPERS moving in next door either, but that happens too. For some it would be like being a foreigner in their own country . Lots of people can move in next door. It's not 100% linked to thinking we should stop them all entering the country to begin with. There are plenty of sensible Romanians.

In my previous flat I had two neighbours.

Next door a Turkish family. Two adults and two kids sharing a single bedroom. Lovely, polite, friendly, chatty, helpful. Great neighbours.

Below me, a German (ie, native) and his girlfriend. Obnoxious, aggressive, unemployed, unpleasant alcoholic who thought the world owed him a living.

I know who I'd prefer to deport.

Admittedly not a double-blind randomised study, but you get my point.

 

...we must expand...get more pupils...so that the knowledge will spread...

But isn't it a shame that this even needs pointing out to people? You have to ask yourself, why does wanting to have control over our own borders so often come bundled with 'I wouldn't want to live near this lot or that lot'. There are so many arguments that are not so fundamentally anti people, but often this is the go to.

I've read your comments and I'd say stating that certain 'average' foreign streets are more friendly than your supposed own country's is depreciation.

I'm perfectly at liberity to say that. I'm just opposing your opinion.

Does 'expand my horizons' mean see nationality like you do? We aren't going to see eye to eye on that one.
