What they want is to make a big fuss of not being satisfied with this offer (which as far as I can see is exactly the deal they were after, up until it was made), so that they can then agree to accept this deal as long as we make a massive concession on some other matter that they really want to go their way and on which we don't want to make any concession on.

They want EU nationals to be able to live here and claim NHS, Benefits etc after Brexit. Which a large part of the population don't want. I think what she offered was fair, even Merkal agreed it was a good start and she powers the EU. I wouldn't read too much into Tusk or Juncker, At the end of the day it is up to the 27 nations.

How EU negotiators have reacted today just puts into stark refrain how risible Labour's position is....'give it all away regardless, hold the moral high ground, and expect the same in return'. Politics for the gullible and/or dim.

Nigel Farage said on his show last night there would be civil unrest if Brexit fell through, I noticed you haven't condemned Farages call to arms.

Any lawyer would advise you against giving away any of your rights human or otherwise. The idea that Mrs May has, that she is somehow doing you a favour while screwing you is so typical of the way that the tories have tried to run the uk. Everything here is about power people do not matter. You should not lose any of your rights as a european or uk citizen as a result of brexit, why should you its perfectly possible to retain them.

I think I'd definitely go on demonstrations if Brexit fell through. However, unlike 'progressives' I won't be damaging statues or any other such like. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Jun 2017 6.20pm)
