TDS is back in full swing this morning as the Supreme Court again rules in Trumps favour. Left media don’t like the ruling so it’s wrong and they know better!! When he’s found guilty there’s street parties in celebration!

Democrats got it all wrong by spending all there term on bringing down Trump and forgot they were elected to move the country and its citizens to a better place!!

Failed miserably on both counts! !

No one but the Trump base are “deranged” by Trump. Derangement first being an accusation levelled at those who criticised Obama, which was indeed accurate.

Opponents of Trump are rightly concerned about the prospect of another 4 years of him in the WH. With the perception that the Supreme Court having been stuffed with right leaning Justices they owe a debt of loyalty to him it’s no wonder they regard their favourable decisions with suspicion, especially one as controversial as this one. It appears they are desperate to get him off the hook and legitimate anything he does, no matter how heinous .

The Democrats have moved the country on. Don’t believe Trump’s bs on this. Or anything else. He lies every time he opens his mouth.,

I disagree on what metrics you believe the country is better off today but that is only my opinion and 67% of American citizens.

As for lies, there are lies, boasts and interpretations. When Joe says no American military had been killed on his watch or he’s a 6 handicap golfer then it’s hard to believe any word coming out of his mouth either!

He does lie, however not as much as a certain poster on these forums.

Trump is also the best bet America and the people of the west have from these warmongering and self serving elites.

do you understand the ruling? Essentially they are saying a president is immune from prosecution so can do whatever they want.
Surely this is madness.

It's not a left or right debate.

Having said that the largely Trump appointed judges surely must be questioned.

“the right wing on the court has killed the concept that no person is above the law. The founders must be turning in their graves. After 250 years, we once again are subordinate to a king.”

And it will apply to King Biden, and other disastrous reigns, too.

The perception of the US Supreme Court must be that political decisions are being made, how could it be otherwise when judicial appointments are made by the President.

Trump does think he is above the law, and this only confirms it.

It's pay-back time, and there is everything to see here.

Well at least you appear to agree that the US judicial system is political. Other people on here disagree just as long as a court rules against Trump.

My thread is more related to the double standards of left wing media coverage and not the legality of the verdict. There is hypocrisy in the highest order!! When the decision go against them or lies percolate out such as laptops, cognitive capability, etc they just ignore and dismiss as Russian misinformation or cruel video editing.

Joe has lied more than Pinocchio yet the new Dems strategy is to deflect that trait to Trump who also lies, boast, exaggerates.

Politics is all about money and power!! It will be the donees who will ultimately decide Joe’s fate and hence the direction of the country!

I believe the court said that the President is immune from prosecution whilst conducting official business. They gave examples where Trump is being prosecuted and said these fall within the scope of his role as head of the executive for instance ordering an inquiry into allegations of election fraud.

The lower Federal court and the prosecution will now have to decide which of the many charges that Trump is facing fall under the heading unofficial and they can proceed with those.

Official metrics. Not those invented by the right wing media:-

Trump isn’t the pedophile who sniffs little girls hair in public and tries to cuddle them. What heinous crimes has trump committed. Oh accounting mistake and f***ing a brass. Yup that counts more than Biden the pedophile who if you haven’t noticed has been kept away from the public physically on stage for a while now!

I doubt this is accurate and it sounds like partisanship from the bench..

Besides that judge isn't worthy of her office and is purely tokenism.

It sounds like Democratic hyperbole that a president can't be convicted of anything. However, it makes sense that a president much be immune from most.....I think you will quite quickly find that it doesn't cover everything.

The more I read on this the more concerned I think everyone should be. The dissenting opinion from Sotomayor containing the most poignant comments. She suggests this decision has the potential to turn any President, even Biden, into a dictator. No one, whichever side of politics you are on should tolerate that.

For instance she suggests that a President could order a navy seal to assassinate a political rival and not be prosecuted. Nor could the seal as he would be following orders.

So imagine. Biden could now order Trump to be killed and nothing legally would happen. He won’t, because he isn’t corrupt, despite the slander that is chucked at him, and he also knows the result would be disastrous.

Another President, especially one like Trump, might though. This opens the door to a dictatorship. Congress now needs to urgently legislate to overturn this ruling.

In the immediate future this makes it even more important to ensure Trump does not succeed. I can think of nothing more galvanising for the Democrats determination to make sure of that than this. I expect it to become the main topic of their campaign and for the spectre of Trump as a dictator to now be centre stage.

Biden must, and will, now stand aside.

I can imagine quite a few Republican members and Senators who aren’t just Trump bootlickers being openly concerned as well.

It’s a dark day for democracy and the western world.
