Anyone listening to the taped conversation Trump made to Georgia’s chief election officer has no doubt whatsoever as to what he meant. Trump’s subsequent attempts at trying to pretend they meant something else will only fool the truly devoted and not anyone with ears and a brain. Nor did he accept the result. He didn’t then and he still doesn’t now. He left because if he didn’t he was told he would be removed and he knew how bad that would look. The Russians did interfere. That was proven by Mueller and known about by the intelligence services. Trump’s attempts to whitewash himself, just because a prosecution of a standing President wasn’t permitted by Barr, are pathetic. What’s shameful to witness is those of us, who ought to know better, buying in to the Trump bs. His constant lying works on his base, but surely not on us? Supporting a friendly nation in its efforts to rid itself of an unpopular Russian stooge President is hardly election interference. It was the people themselves who forced him out. He then resigned. All Obama’s people did was offer words of encouragement. Not tell lies.

The sheer levels of dishonesty from Democratic media....this from three months ago. Demonising the truth and replacing it with lies.

All Obama’s people did was offer words of encouragement. Not tell lies. The Trump stuff you say here is false but it's ground that has been massively walked on and I can't be bothered with 'yes it is, no it isn't. What I highlighted here though has no subjective element it's just factually untrue. The US spent five billion in Ukraine making that 2014 coup happen....even though it had no business in a Russian border country that was split near fifty fifty in loyalties. So no, it wasn't just 'words of encourgement....it was serious cash for opposition and NGOs and 'The people', didn't force their president out....It was a coup not a democratic vote by the people. The result of the coup was a civil war. It's none of our business whether a country is pro Russian or not. We aren't at war with Russia and shouldn't have been interfering in Ukraine. The outcome of that has been a massive world disaster. Edited by Stirlingsays (30 Jun 2024 2.00am)

I would highlight not Biden’s stumbling words but the truth that lies behind them and compare them with the lies that Trump said in response. Stumblingly expressed truths are still truths. Confidently expressed lies are still lies. Is delivery more important than accuracy? Is appearance more important than substance? Do reality TV stars make better Presidents than professional politicians?

Repeating Russian propaganda spread by RT about the Maidan revolution doesn’t turn it into truth. In fact is painful evidence of how the right are being used to spread misinformation and undermine our own democracy.

So it’s alleged but the scale compared to our problem is tiny. I imagine that doing it would have been rather easier than trying to do anything similar with France. The only reports I can find involve much bigger vessels and longer distances than the overcrowded ribs crossing the channel. What they did succeed in doing was offshore processing in PNG. We don’t have a convenient PNG. St Helena or British Antarctic Territory, not convenient perhaps but a hell of a deterrent

Loving the squirming from the pro Biden media over the last few months. 1. It's all lies Biden is fine, fake news, fake editing. *This has come from White House insiders to pro Biden media. Are they serious? The Leader of the Free world needs a week of recover before a debate yet there's nothing wrong with him?

I'm not a liar. Linking to white washing by a machine that justifies these disastrous events doesn't help. The CIA funding is the truth, as is election interference around the world. Celebrating western election interference while demonising Russian interference is not only a double standard but it's warmongering...Ukraine is a Russian border country....If you want a war get down to the trenches and fight it yourself. As for the misinformation that you speak of it is this idea that the 2014 coup was legitimate. Once again, it literally caused a coup as the south and east of the country had voted in a pro Russian government. The west doesn't have much more of a democracy than exists in Russia. Both are autocracy. Edited by Stirlingsays (30 Jun 2024 10.05am)
