It obviously didn't bother you that much did it......and apparently we have the fastest recovering economy in the EU. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Feb 2022 10.40pm) Fastest recovery from the lowest point lets not forget Stirling! And I have the freedom to move to any of the 28 countries, in my own time, i"m hanging around to see this great boom over here that half the country keep promising-although i think it was Jacob who said it might be in 50 years!

Brexit and the pandemic you wrote. I wonder which had the worst effect? Maybe you could put a bit more meat on the bone. Stories like this do exactly what the press want don't they! It was the managing director of the companys words mate-but what does he know about his company heh?

Was that copied directly from a newspaper or article? The BBC version is grammatically correct, somehow your version is full of errors, bizarre. As a matter of interest, the ex MFI Factory, now Wren Kitchens in Barton Upon Humber is flourishing and needs more skilled workers. Edited by HKOwen (12 Feb 2022 7.48am)

What's top of your possible list? Not asking in a 'debate' way, just curious.

Somewhere warm perhaps, i might not go anywhere to be honest, but can only see hard graft over here for years, its hard to know what to do for the best.At least the European passport gives me options, I hear Jacob has an almost identical young son at Eton- a future pm perhaps? That could be the final nail.

Explain how the picture of immigration to top up tax income to pay for an aging population isn't a ponzi scheme. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Feb 2022 4.00pm)
It's not for me to prove a negative. It's for those who propose it to prove it. Nevertheless, as there is no picture of immigration to top up income tax top pay for an ageing population there isn't any kind of scheme, let alone a Ponzi one. Immigration happens for a huge variety of reasons. To fill skill shortages, as a result of humanitarian responses to refugees and for family reasons. To name some of the obvious. None of these are done just so the immigrants can pay some tax! It's a truly stupid idea.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Dodgy YouTubers and even dodgier groups, like PA, posting on Gab and Telegram, are hardly in the bright lights of the web are they? Only those who go looking for their propaganda find it. It's in the dark. It's only in the mainstream, even of the right, in the minds of those who advocate it. It's what the far-right believe, but it isn't true. If I remember correctly PA wasn't raised by me as a talking point...I actually tried to avoid that. Bluejay decided he wanted to focus upon them because the great replacement had been mentioned. They are hardly the only group or indeed individual who has stated the obvious. Bluejay wanted to discuss his particular interest area and try his usual tactic of referring to neo Nazis when what happened eighty years ago in Germany has no relevance to Britain's future. Youtube is hardly a 'dark corner of the Internet' and PA are a legal organisation whose website you yourself linked to. Several lies about them have been spread, specifically that they support violence. I have no desire to make this a PA thread but falsehoods and smears have to be countered. By your own words, 'making assertions', you just described yourself. Originally posted by Wisbech Eagle

None of these are done just so the immigrants can pay some tax! It's a truly stupid idea. Oh I see....immigration isn't being used for the purposes of increasing tax take. . Now some of what you say is true, there are other factors, whether we agree with them or not. However, that doesn't change the basic reality that increasing the size of the population via immigration doesn't work economically....it's short term gain for massively harder loss for future generations....for the previously stated reasons. The fact that you are willing to argue against the even basic reality is just your MO. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Feb 2022 5.42pm)
