It is not an editorial decision, that would be related to the content of his output. It is a management decision to assume he is guilty of something that is unproven. Originally posted by The Dolphin
Wisbech. Your point is well made but I just feel that the media are too quick to back an unproven allegation.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

It’s keeping him away from the spotlight while everything is still ongoing. So much of this ‘cancel culture’ bollocks is people just fundamentally not understanding things.

Not so much so if they have cancelled his contract and if they decide all Yorkshire personnel are persona non grata and don't invite him back.

I am no absolutely no authority on this & would certainly like to see a post from someone who is - but I would imagine that on the issue whether Michael Vaughan is getting paid or not would rather depend upon how the employer views his employment - ( his employment contract) by that I mean - If he is an in house "cricket expert" perhaps signed up "per season" then he is probably getting paid - but if he is employed as say an event commentator Does anyone know ?

He's probably freelance and gets paid per match. He does work for quite a few broadcasters so would likely be the case. They're not going to pay him if so.

Extremely likely to be exactly how you've just described - how it works with most people in TV and radio.
