I would have thought that being muscle bound would not have improved his game. Cantwell has an aversion to heading the ball, questioning his technique as he says it is painful.Perhaps he is just concerned with losing that 'Alice band' ! Apropos his physique, the lad is more muscle-bound and stronger than he was some 18 months ago, accordingly the defensive elements of his game have improved.

Him and Cantwell will already be priced out of our range. I'd be more hopefull of getting their current LB Lewis who we were linked with in January. However with each decent performance he has another million or two is being added to his value and no doubt raising the awareness of more suitors. I wouldn't be so sure. As soon as you are relegated the value of your players plummets as teams know they are now being offered for sale by a team that needs the money, rather than having to be prised away from a fellow PL team.

I am not suggesting that Cantwell has bulging muscles affecting his mobility. The lad has become physically stronger and some 18 months ago was not as strong and aggressive and possess the defensive elements to his game that are now apparent.

Although not overly familiar with the Norwich business model I don’t think they splashed the cash like Villa and plenty before (Fulham). Therefore they probably won’t be under any huge pressure to sell – especially with the parachute payments. Shame as they have a few excellent players that would supplement our squad nicely.

Their net spend this season has been £6 Mill.

I take your point, but there is also the ambition of some of their players to take into account now they have had a taste of the big time. Some will be loyal, others not so much.

I am not a lover of loan's, Cash is a good call Hasn't worked out too negatively for us in relation to Loftus-Cheek,Batshuayi,Sakho,Ayew etc. Matty Cash used to play in midfield, playing centrally and also on the flanks but has been converted into an attacking right-back.His former manager Mark Warburton viewed Cash as a future right-back.
