It appears that liverpool have rejected a bid of £25 million,I hope that Palace have the good sense to look elsewhere,he is Injury prone and might not repeat the purple patch that he had during his loan period. As a business Palace must not over pay. I think our demise has put his value up. Any thoughts that Liverpool would be in a weaker position to negotiate come August 30th diminish with each goal conceded.

As a business Palace must not over pay. He was captain of PSG 1st team at the age of 17, liverpool paid a fortune at the time for him. Liverpool fans also still rate him as a world class center half. I'd say his 'purple patch' is likely to continue, due to him obviously being a class act. Sign him up and make him captain I say.

Ever heard of penny wise and pound foolish? Shelling out a few extra million for sakho is nothing compared to the cost of relegation

This scenario is absolutely clear, as soon as someone stumps up £30m for Jonny Evans, West Brom will have £30m to buy Sakho. Liverpool must know this. Why accept £25m, when they know £30m will soon be on the cards. Spot on!

I would absolutely love Sakho back but does FdB? If Sakho is being forced upon him by fan power and Parish power will he f*ck him about by playing him wingback or whatever

All summer we've said we're not interested and yet have already agreed terms with him months ago. He's rebutted interest from everyone else who's shown any interest. And now a couple days before window shuts we start negotiations... Everything points to him signing for us once Parish strikes the deal. Could it have been done earlier? Yes. Will it be done? Most likely. He wants to sign for us. Even Pulis has said as much. If we've tabled a £25m offer im sure they'll be agreement soon. If I was a gambling man I'd have my money on him signing...

All the signs seem to point to Sakho wanting to sign for us having agreed terms etc. Exactly why is a different question and one I'm really not inclined to ask. Even though bid rejected I would not be surprised if the club had considered other options and without much success have decided to make their move now albeit with perhaps a cheeky lower bid. Can only hope this means SP would be wise enough to stump up a few more million to sign him otherwise football is a money game and how or to what extent would Sakho be able to resist if Liverpool accept an offer from another club? Also leaves a question mark over whether we will sign the actually needed and not desired GK and Striker? I really am starting to feel as though I know f*** all about what's going on no matter how much I read! Being a Palace fan I am extremely pessimistic of much if any transfer activity from us but can only hope ATM but as suggested I'm not investing too much in hope
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
