I don't speak from experience but if you get a mortgage or a big loan from the bank, that takes a while. Or business mergers/takeovers. How long did it take for the Yanks to officially become shareholders. It's a massive deal which may well not happen. But I don't think that just because there's been no reliable news for a few days that we should give up hope.

To spare you the agony I keep feeling with refreshing this page, a safe bet is if it hasn't been announced by 5pm on a weekday it won't happen. Rarely will transfers be announced on weekends as they can't go through officially till a Monday!
