I'm not Southgates biggest fan and if you've got a group as talented as ours and you can't get the best out of them, then that's on the manager but I do agree with Carragher, Pickford constantly going long has nothing to do with the manager, thats down to too many players who are happy to hide, none of them had the balls to demand the ball in difficult positions.

Did he really. We were through the group after 2 games. That’s the time to realise a change no matter who you were trying to avoid in the knockout stage. As the saying goes and we saw yesterday, you have to beat a decent team at some stage. And we couldn’t. I'm right there with you on Bellingham.

He's banged in a ton of goals for Madrid playing against minnows but hasn't shone at all in the Euros.

I'm yet to be convinced by him. Players can get overhyped with awards and plaudits and then it becomes a bit of a house of cards situation where he has been built up to be the next Zidane but essentially ghosts through the tournament.

The true greats were the players that could take the game by he scruff of the neck and score a brilliant goal and maybe beat a few players to do that.

Bellingham looked leggy and laboured on the ball, more like a tired workhorse midfielder. I mean honestly Modric did more for Croatia at 38 or whatever in the games he played then Bellingham did.

Yes he did score that great goal that kept us in it but he was practically missing throughout each game. The press built up Foden, Kane, and Bellingham as 'world class'.

There is no concrete definition of world class but I would say being able to perform at both club and international level would be a prerequisite. Being so good that you will stand out in different teams, irrespective of how good that team is.

Saka, Watkins, Toney, Guehi and Stones all aquited themselves relatively well in that regard.

I guess Bellingham is now nailed on as England's 'future' no matter what. Likewise, Mainoo will be nailed in as a CM next to Rice, but is utterly average. Yes he plays basic backwards and sideways passes but that's it.

I think the press just hyped him up far too much. Perhaps he was tired?

If he scores that chance against Spain then perhaps his tournament becomes more impressive. But for a 20 yr old he looked very leggy. I wonder if he's carrying an injury of some kind.

With a new manager in the mix and hopefully a more progressive style of play, perhaps all these underperforming players will start to play better in a system that could (and should) get the best out of them.

As for Kane, no. He is done, legs are gone. He can't be England's talisman anymore, jogging around the pitch slowing everything down and doing nothing each game.
