I think Fury and his side have known this all along... They wanted to see what sort of offer Hearn could come up with and build a bit of publicity for Fury v Wilder because let's face it, it's just going to be a repeat of the second fight.

Starting to really go off Fury if I'm honest... He talks a hell of alot of crap.

I used to dislike fury.
Then he had his mental health comeback and I read his book, was humble and really likeable.
Last few months he’s been heading back to becoming a ‘pr*ck’ again.
I think that all people end up ‘returning to type’ in the end.

I know he battered Wilder last time and the chances are he will again.
But with Usyk and Wilder in the way of Fury/Aj, I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them lost and it f*cos up the big fight.

Logan Paul v Mayweather this Sunday.

Good grief.

Paul coming in 30 pounds heavier.

Mayweather has the ability to finish this at any time he wants.

Freak show but seems to be the direction boxing is heading.

I'll watch it (for free after the event) but as you rightly say it make a mockery of the sport. I'm perhaps a little more hopeful that long term these freakshows will eventually fizzle out because any genuinely talented athlete will always wipe the floor with a Youtube 'influencer'.

Arias v Hurd fight.
How the fcuk was that a split decision.
Hurd even has the front to think he won.
Some of this judging is crazy.

Mayweather can't have been happy with that. Crazy money aside, he watered down his legacy and failed to take out a youtuber. Started looking genuinely depressed about 6 rounds in. Money isn't everything.

Sets up a re-match and gets him another few million dollars? He could buy a new hat.

Some of these freaky fights I don’t mind. Would not mind Mike Tyson v Holyfield etc, but this was always going to be a joke. As you say BlueJay, more of this will start to affect Mayweathers legacy.

I wasn't that surprised it went the distance.

The guy's at his physical peak, 6.2 and two and a half stone heavier. Mayweather is 44 and hasn't carried power in his fragile fists since before Hatton. All Paul needed was a reasonable chin.

Mayweather dominated the punch stats and they both made a lot of money. As an exhibition fight it doesn't appear on his record.

Personally I just few it as fun.

Yes, you could certainly get a feel that he was deflated and almost embarrassed from the 6th round onward. It was a financial win for both, but realistically it was a boxing win only for Paul on account that he'd only had one previous fight and lost that, and now lasted 8 rounds against one of the best boxers in history. Easy money no doubt, but hopefully this kind of thing will eventually burn itself out. When freak shows earn far more money than warriors going to war its unfortunate.

Kirkland (The gifted one) Laing passed away today.

Incredibly skilled fighter who held a win over Duran.

Quite the character. I remember the BBC using subtitles to interview him once as his accent was so strong.

Had he committed himself more he could have been a great.

People often use the term ‘best British boxer never to win a world title’ well he, asLong with Graham, may have been it.

Good tribute and summary.

And Graham was avoided and had genuinely bad luck....even when he had his chance as an old man.
