Please tell us when in your "past experiences in the world of football" you have seen a team in a position like ours at this stage get relegated. Oldham does not count because in that instance there was one place at stake between us and them, whereas in this instance there is a whole pile of toilet between us and the trap door.

This is true, we are 11th. I remember Oldham but it is completely different this time.
The fact is (some fag box figures coming up) that if you discount the first seven games and we had picked up the points we have averaged since we would be on 47 points with a positive goal difference. Add to that the points we have needlessly dropped due to missing pens or switching off in the last minutes of games we could well have been fighting Burnley, Leicester and Everton for a Europa league spot. That’s not even taking Ito account our injuries this season.
There is zero chance of us going down and if your genuinely worried Willo then lump on and soften the blow, about 100/1 with the bookies!

Not sure why you have formed this conclusion.

Wasn't the 'Mood music' that a team like Leicester could NEVER win the PL ?

Of course it would take an extraordinary set of results for us to be relegated to the extent that it is "Highly improbable" and we are in a position we just never thought possible after 7 games !

I suppose my mood can be summed up as "Cautiously optimistic".

I can't see H'field picking up anything from their last 3 games, if they don't then one of Saints or Swans will send them down. Saints play Swans and Swans play Stoke so our 38 points is looking like enough.I think we will get at least 1 more win so it won't matter for us anyway!!!

Hard to see Huddersfield picking up a single point from their remaining 3 games : Home - Arsenal Away - Man C, Chelsea

But can one see Swansea getting the 3 points to overhaul them ? - They play Home - Southampton, Stoke Away - Bournemouth.

And can one see Southampton getting 3/4 points to overhaul them ? They play Home - Man C Away - Everton, Swansea.

Fascinating.

i wouldn’t write off Huddersfield’s chances against arsenal they have a poor away record in 2018 even if it is wengers last game I wouldn’t count on them beating Huddersfield

I really don't understand the negativity towards Willo here?

Of course Palace won't go down from here, but he is only stating a mathematical fact that Palace technically aren't safe- I'm sure you'd get lower odds on Palace getting relegated now then you would have done on Leicester winning the league when they were 20th the season before....

Get your point but for me its not that individual post, but years of all the constant attention seeking nonsense and subtle trolling he has posted ever since he flounced from the BBS as Trolley.

He gets a theme (just like with refs) and hammers it home time and time and time again de-railing threads left right and centre. Once he has then made it all about himself he then narcissistically announces he is going to post no further on a subject. A troll that makes almost every thread about himself.

Just wait for the self centred Willo 'I got it wrong over relegation thread' he starts in the next week or two.

Then it will all start again next August and we will have another season of him going on about us going down, sad and ruins an otherwise good site imo.

How about because I asked you for an example of when it had happened before and you couldn't come up with one? Despite all your "experience".

I have answered all these ridiculous charges before.
Yet more ammunition from the rich arsenal of personal vilification.

Does one wish to actually post relating to the subject matter or turn this into yet another tedious WILLO thread ? In the interests of HOL I shall refrain from rsponding to each and every one of the risible accusations and concentrate on the matter under discussion.

My "Experience" and the experience of perhaps the vast majority on HOL is that football can throw up major upsets and surprises so one should exercise a degree of caution where necessary.

I really don't need to respond any further to such goadings or site any further specific examples as my overall message is perfectly clear.

Even our manager doesn’t think there is a chance of us going down and he’s got slightly more experience in football than a certain someone.

“Cautiously optimistic”?! Seriously you’re a joke Willo.

Which one of those 3, if any, do you think will end up in the dreaded relegation zone come the end of the season?
