Not really. I thought he thought it was such a shambles he didn't want to be a part of it. There was much furore because he had his finger on the pulse by all accounts. Yes really. It's very much your MO: insinuations that everything is a Brexit disaster, because we got the decision "wrong". Let there be no doubt you will be smugly posting your "evidence" when any given event appears to sate your confirmation bias. Or indeed re-posting 4-month old news. Anyone would think you're desperate to deflect from the realities: the EU is exposing itself for the nasty, petty, belligerent failed political experiment that many (note: not all) whom voted for Brexit saw it for. With each leak, each petty swipe ("English is losing importance in Europe (sic)", with each proclamation at their unwillingness to accept divergent view, the global community are seeing it for what it is: profligate, corrupt, vindictive, myopic and protectionist. So, "best negotiator"? According to who? Can you cite your sources? Cameron's aides seemed to think he was pretty 5hit: "Cameron’s aides complained that Rogers dominated the negotiation process and was too quick to take ‘no’ for an answer." Presumably he's "best" in your eyes, because he'd willingly capitulate to each and every demand and give nothing back. We need 5th columnists like him like we need a hole in the head.

It's arguable that someone with such a good understanding of the machinations of the EU would be best place to see if brexit ministers had a clue or not. He didn't want to be a part of it as they weren't listening.
Changing subject, is the Macron victory in France going to help us towards Brexit. It could be argued that the French electorate chose a more EU centric candidate.

Price of beer could fall by 20p a pint following Brexit: Stick that up your 'bonnet du douche', Juncker.

You're not welcome in the Brexit camp. Stick to the moaning self righteous know it all camp. You, Tim Fallon, Tony Blair, Bob Geldof and Peter Mandelson can all have a nice circle jerk about whom is more cross with the 'ignorance' of the population.

Yes, I'll let you wriggle off the hook. Two sides, indeed. I'm more than happy with Tim Barrow - he's eminently qualified and experienced, and appears not to have gorged on the EU koolaid. As for Macron: "EU centric"?? Hahahahaha. Yeah. He's been actively endorsed by the EU. He's not "EU centric", he's a raging EUphile: pro mass-immigration, pro globalisation, pro EU. An odd position for the "anti-establishment". I'll assume you didn't watch the most recent debate. He cited the EUR60bn Brexit punishment beating in that, so I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions what kind of line he'll take in the negotiations (perhaps he should retain legal counsul to check the legality of the punishment payment though). This is going to be great. Macron is basically a Blairite PR stunt without the policy. A French Trudeau (whom the Canadians are now seeing through) they are stuck with for 5 years.
