Todays first download is a set by Hot Tuna that was recorded at the Fillmore East, San Fran in the 4th March 1988. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. Hot Tuna were a spin-off of Jefferson Airplane and special guest "Grace Slick" appears onstage for a few songs with the late Papa John Creach on violin. This show rocks big time and if you like Hot Tuna or Jefferson Airplane then grab this one .... this is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a bootleg of outtakes by R.E.M. that were recorded for the album "Out Of Time". These are in really superb quality and the audio has been taken from the studio master tapes and sounds wicked!. Some really great R.E.M. tracks on this one - from a really great album, my favourite album by the band. Todays extra download is a a collection of BBC sessions by Ocean Colour Scene. These are in superb quality and were recorded between 1990 and 1997. Some old classic on this one which has been posted before on the 24th January 2008. If you missed it then, and you like OCS - grab it..... thoroughly recommended.... Here is a download link..... Todays second download is another set by R.E.M following on from the one I posted the other day. This show was recorded at The Music Hall, Seattle, WA on the 27th June 1984 and is in superb quality with the audio being taken from the soundboard.. This is a great set by early R.E.M. with some classic tracks. If you like R.E.M. you will like this one.... Todays extra download is in tribute to Ray Manzarek - keyboard player and co-founder ot the legendary band The Doors who died yesterday. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. This is only a very short set of 3 tracks and Ray recites one of Jim Morrisons poems during the track "I Wake Up Screaming". This is great stuff and is thoroughly recommended. RIP Ray Manzarek. Todays first download is a set by Uriah Heep that was recorded in Tel Aviv, Israel on the 28th January this year. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast and sounds absolutely top notch. This is a wicked set by UH and the energy they have onstage is amazing considering how long this band have been around.... this boot rocks big time and is thoroughly recommended... Todays extra download was posted just the other day - but it was posted as a continuous mp3 file and not seperate tracks. The show was Rod Stewart In Concert at the BBC Radio Theatre last Thursday the 16th May. I've now found the show in seperate tracks with the audio being taken from BBC iPlayer. The quality is top notch as you would expect from the beeb. If you were tempted to download the previous boot, but waited for this version... I'm glad the wait was only a day or so....
