Right, so your previous take of "It is very convenient to be able to criticize and whine when you don't have the responsibility of decision-making." doesn't really make sense, does it? Given you acknowledge that you know, that's their job. Great take as always. It is their job, but it is also easy. It requires no testable alternative, no responsibility, and no consequences. You are wasting your time trying to be 'clever' with me. Take that away.

'MPs get vote on investigating whether PM misled Parliament'. This Thursday. He did of course, and does every time he stands up, however this will be quite excruciating for him, and even more for us. He will survive but his supporters will be named and shamed before elections and partygate is still very much alive.

That is a testament to the powerless desperation of the opposition.

Nothing is as excruciating as hearing Blackford chunter away * even worse than usual today, getting him of UK TV is sufficient reason alone for Scottish independence Edited by HKOwen (21 Apr 2022 2.17pm)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Do people still consider there to be any significant difference between Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem or even Greens? Again, genuine question because it continues to amaze me.

One party is named 'Labour', one named 'Conservatives', one named 'Lib Dems' and so forth. The differences in their manifestos and espousals only ever differ slightly these days and even then are not accurately reflected by their actions whilst in office. We've become the well mocked American portrayal often played out in media. We should have made note of the Simpson's take on this a long time ago.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I can't imagine that a Tory vs say a Green party would have massive overlap, so there's certainly a choice for voters to make even if it is imperfect. It all depends on what kind of governments and policies you'd want in place of course. Any party would need significant support and so that limits the true fringes of left or right from making inroads. Edited by BlueJay (21 Apr 2022 7.17pm)

Yup. The best option is in power atm. Wow, imagine how bad the new gov would be, how much more than £47 thousand million they would steal, how much more than 36 thousand million they would waste on a useless track and trace, how many times the new pm would lie in parliament, and to the queen! How many laws they would break-while having a jolly themselves, how many times they would try and change the law when one of their own was caught taking a bung, how many times they would try and break international law, on an oven ready deal they signed a few months before? How they are the worst country to take brave regugees in from a war zone, and lie about the offices in place in France. How they would better the home secretary"s giant hairdryer to blow the sea back to france, perhaps a rocket and packed lunch to the moon? Wow, they would have to be very, very bad to be worse than the CONS, very bad indeed!
