What a very stupid thing to say, we are in the PL because of him and Sam. I am very happy, he is doing a fantastic job with what he has available.

Your opinion. My opinion is the product Roy gets from the team is less than the sum of the parts. If not Roy who else? Not my job, but am sure there are. If Roy one day is not there are we done for? How did the wolves find Nuno? My humble opinion Sir

I agree that the football has not been that exciting this year but we're sixth in the table and only 5 points behind second-placed Man City; what more can you expect from the team? I have a feeling that if we continue to pick up points the way we have been Roy may start to take the shackles off a bit, the same way he has done in the last two seasons once we were safe. The thing is, right now our major strong point is our defensive solidity; our major weakness is our attack; therefore, Roy is utilising the old Italian style of playing for a narrow win. Given Man City probably spent more on haircuts in the summer than we spent on players you can't really judge Roy or the team on yesterday's result.

I'll tell you what I'm bored with.

People complaining about Hodgson.

His methods aren't the most exciting but they are effective.

He suits where we are as a club right now.

He suits the ownership that’s for sure, but without Roy with these owners and someone else struggling with them it could be pretty bad. Just wish he thought that sitting back was allowing them chances so maybe trying to creat some could’ve happened, but we were on more than a respectable points tally before the game, even with a tough run of games so no big deal. It might’ve been if we didn’t get some good luck early on this season but we did so we’ll see how we go as the season develops and the shareholders allow it n January.

Anyone else bored to death of Roy? He plays his favourites (Schlupp instead of Townsend) never changes or even tweaks his tactics no matter who we play, does not pick flair players (Meyer and Camarasa) and does not bring youngsters through (this has followed him throughout his career)

Parish is happy because he knows Roy will still probably keep us safe in the (greed!) league which means Parish and the Americans can bide their time looking for the right people to eventually sell the club to, but in the meantime we stay bored to death!!

Hopefully if the club is sold to an extremely wealthy individual or consortium, we can start planning for the future with a young ambitious manager full of ideas and who can bring out the best from what is a very talented squad of players

You won't believe me now that when a new young manager full of ideas will become manager of our team it will be the time we fall back to the championship, but with time you will.
Remember of this post of mine then.

we did have a young manager full of ideas, FDB, I think that was 7 games and still pretty fresh in peoples memories.

Plenty will believe you

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

It was four games. Three more than he should have had. Can’t remember such an inept and idiotic spell from a Palace manager.

You think Roy does not get as much out the team as somebody else could do.

Do you have any objective reasons or just have a seat on the anti-Roy bandwagon.?

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

If only one of our Strikers had been able to do a reasonable and consistent job you wouldn't have needed to write this post.

Very true, I was counting however a few pre-season games (which I actually managed to see for once) in which I thought he couldn't possibly be serious in his approach.

No striker has ever done well under Roy.

Roy is a safe pair of hands and doesn't complain so he suits the board.

It's just very dull, he's pretty average, definitely has his plus points but also has his flaws that he will never address, but he's stable.
