News of the deal being done for 55mill are spreading across other news outlets, however they are sourcing the Daily Record article. Suggestions it may not be completed until he returns from the U21 Tournament.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'AWB fee agreement?' by bexleydave If the deal goes through I would expect him to be included in an England squad as a Man Utd as opposed to a Crystal Palace player.

AWB performance last night showed why Man U are taking a big gamble on him if they sign him. He is comfortable at Palace but it may go badly wrong if he leaves.

Its only a good deal if the money is used to improve the squad. My suspicion is that Parrish has earmarked most of money for other purposes.

I'm surprised how many of our own fans are coming out today and saying how he's not ready after yesterdays performance. We've seen him play 43 games in the last 18 months and he's been excellent in all but 1 or 2. One off game for the U21's and people are doubting him. I think Man U will end up with a great signing and I only hope that Ole is replaced with someone soon who will develop AWB in the way he deserves as I am not convinced by OGS at all. Will be gutted to see him go but hopefully it will give us the funds to progress and bring in the players we need up the other end of the pitch whilst balancing the books.

Aye although it has been known for clubs to send representatives out to get players to sign contracts mid tournament. Let's have a good conspiracy theory (Que X-Files music) AWB played poorly for England last night due to being distracted by contract negotiations with United.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'AWB fee agreement?' by bexleydave If it is true! I just hope we have someone lined up to replace him. Although I suspect we will have done the normal for us sold before replacing. It is such bad business if the case those selling will know we have money and simply inflate the price, when will we learn!!!!???

I agree, I doubt many of them watched the game last night. From what I saw AWB was pushed in the back by Henderson and was off balance when he tried to clear the ball and it went in the net.

And Rory Stewart took off his tie because it was bloody hot and look where it got him!
