Ok its a big shame how the HF have reacted they have definatly underestimated the Englishness of CPFC we're not Juve or Roma. However I can see what they we're hopefully trying to do it's a natural progressing maybe they shkuld have looked at other options or just carried on as they were I really dont understand tbh just gutted. I understand the HF's support I mean I used to be one of the few travelling supporters going to the likes of Grimsby away and singing the whole 90 minutes supporting a poor Palace side but being proud to support Palace and get behind them no matter what I am solidly against booing leaving early etc WE'RE SUPPORT YOU EVER MORE!!! If the fans hide the players will I firmly believe our support as it has been has encouraged players to stay and be attracted to it players feel the love and support they see the displays and think yes c'mon the 12th man it can not be denied

An offer that an individual may or may not take up, but I expect they would be bullied out after a crictal mass has been reached.
Edited by pefwin (21 Aug 2018 5.21pm) As I suggested earlier on in the thread...the club need to plan this move/change of purpose etc at least a season in advance BEFORE tickets are sold there. That way those who wish to stay do so knowing that a change is coming but also they have the ability to make that choice. I'd also expect the club to provide some sort of financial recompense for those willing to move; beit a free ticket elsewhere or reduction over the next 3years..or even priority bookings on seats in the new stand. There needs to be a pragmatic approach from all sides with enough notice given for people to weigh up their options based on the proposals; like adults. I'm surprised that this hasn't already got underway if i'm honest.

I don't disagree on the atmosphere point but that is no reason to throw supporters out of E.

Edited by pefwin (21 Aug 2018 5.21pm) Sorry, didnt see the final part. For me loyalty takes a number of forms...i'd suggest that those that go to games home and away paying their hard earned deserve to be treated differently to me as far as the club are concerned. It doesnt mean I love the club any less than these people its just that they've gone the xtra mile than me...which is fine. I went home and away for a couple of seasons straight as I was able to, but now life has moved on and i can't. I only got a couple of season tickets this season; first time I've had a season ticket for a good 15years as I still play football both Saturdays and Sundays but wanted to be able to be in a chance with getting tickets in the new stand when built...(there's that monetary loyalty thing again)...sadly its symptomatic of the modern game and as such sometimes you have to 'play the game' in order to get what we want.

Should any people barging into Block E without tickets be ejected? Should the club pay or the HF for the cost implications? Should it be funded by HF usage of CPFC copyright material in their own displays and promotional content? edited as loyalty answered. Edited by pefwin (21 Aug 2018 5.42pm)

The whole situation is the making of the HF. It is frankly embarrassing their behaviour. Acting like spoiled children. Do any of you support their behaviour? What right do they have to move supporters who have potentially been there more than they have lived. We are undergoing work on the stadium so surely then we have a chance to look at reorganisation. What is wrong with the current area? They are not only hurting the team, the other fans but themselves with this approach. I used to try and get close as it was good fun being in that area. What are they all doing know. Sulking, watching the games on TV. Parish could do no more and all they are doing is hurting the club they supposedly love.

However, there is a bigger picture beyond egos and selfishness which is about club image and match day atmosphere.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'An alternative view on last night's atmosphere' by Midlands Eagle I've been standing towards the back of Block B for a good few years, and whilst there have undoubtedly been worse atmospheres than last night's during that time, it has to be said that Selhurst really was very quiet yesterday evening.
