We shall see, but Maguire looks like another one who will do well in an international finals once but will go back to his old self when the season starts especially if he gets a big pay rise on the back of the World Cup. A couple of players did that in Euro 16 - Hal Robson-Kanu springs to mind. Never looked to me like he would put in 100% shift week in week out. I’m not convinced either.

I really like Tomkins. But he’s a 29 year old ‘second Center back’, Maguire is 25 and will be the main Center back. Tomkins is great with a main man like Sako. I really like Tomkins, but McGuire looks like the real deal. More of a Terry /Adams then a Cahill/Bould. Good post. Let's sell Wilf and buy Maguire ... as we'll definitely need another central defender?!

A very quaint notion, doesn't seem to happen in football. It does the club says so. I even wonder if the whole Wilf thing is just to distract us from the fact that we aren't signing anyone.

NB: Instagram story seems to now have disappeared.

Last home game of the the season 2 seasons ago against Hull , wilf absolutley destroyed Maguire so badly he asked to be taken off.

If we find out we have been lied to we can react later but at present we need to get behind Wilf and show why he should stay.

It’s very tight and we could all do with some closure. However I have pure faith in the board and with Roy And whatever happens it will be for the best. At the end of the day, if he wants to go, there is not much anyone can do about it. Have faith
