It's a ploy by Corbyn to try and make PMQs more downbeat as he knows he would be ripped apart by Cameron in a "Yah boo" exchange.

I see some of the usual left wing chaps on here already in the denial stage. Corbyn can ask all he likes at question time but his face doesn't fit the 21st century. Sorry to be so cynical and broad stroke about it but that is the reality.

Doesn't matter really if his 'face fits' or not, or if people who'd never vote for him don't like him, the reason he is there is on the basis of a democratic mandate of the Labour party, by an approved process. What disturbs me most are 'Labour Party Parliamentary members' who seem to think they're more important than the people who vote for them. It won't be Corbyn that sinks the party, it'll be members of the party throwing hissy fits because their own membership voted for someone they didn't want. It'll like be the who 'Euro' schism of the Tory party that f**ked their own party in the 90s and early 21st century.

Personally I don't see that the whole 'yah boo' thing actually serves the electorate. Shouldn't PMQ be about getting the prime minister to answer questions?

However, I do actually believe that his face does matter. People who vote for personality and floating voters in general will not vote for this man. If Milliband was a liability for Labour then Corbyn will be like the Anti Christ.

The Prime Minister can still answer questions in a "Yah Boo" environment. If today's PMQs is anything to go by maybe the TV companies will consider it far too boring to broadcast !

I think you have to say that Corbyn came over far better today than Milliband ever did.

I think you have to say that Corbyn came over far better today than Milliband ever did. Corbyn never came back with anything after Cameron provided answers. It wasn't a "Yah Boo" cut and thrust session. Let's get back to the "Punch and Judy" show instead of a bland question and answer session !

Corbyn operates on a different and higher, albeit more left wing, level. He will, i think, command a slightly begrudging respect from elements in all the parties and some of their voters. Something Ed was not able to achieve even from just within his own.
