Todays first download is a set by legendary blues/rock guitarist John Martyn that was recorded at the Teatro Antoniano, Bologna, Italy on the 18th May 1977. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. Good quality boots by John Martyn are very rare and I only have a few myself. There is a little tape hiss present on the recording - but it's not really noticable when the music is playing. John released over 20 albums during his career and worked with artists like Eric Clapton and David Gilmour. John died in Ireland in 2009. If you like John Martyn - you're already downloading this.... great stuff... Todays second download is a set by The Kinks that was recorded in Tokyo, Japan on the 27th February 1982. The quality of this boot is superb and the audio has been taken from the soundboard. The band had been touring Japan and this was the last night of the tour. Some classic tracks are played on this one - including "Lola" "All Day And All Of The Night" and "You Really Got Me". I first posted this show on the 14th September 2009 and if you missed it then - grab it now, this is a good one...... Todays extra download is a bootleg by Yes that has been taken from an FM broadcast on the 1st January 1973. This is in superb quality and sounds top notch. Unfortunately the file doesn't give a venue for the tracks that are played - only the date. The 3 tracks performed are wicked and are all classic Yes tracks. If you like Yes - grab this one, you may have it already... but it's still good stuff..... Todays second download is the first album or bootleg by this artist that I've posted - which surprised me!. The band are The Robert Cray Band and this is a set they played at the Warfield Theatre, San Francisco on the 18th September 1987. The quality of this bootleg is superb with the audio being taken from an FM broadcast of the show on KFOG-FM radio. Robert Cray plays blues/rock - and he does it superbly... I am amazed that I've not got anything by him in my files - an error that will soon be rectified. This boot was in FLAC format when I first downloaded it, I've converted it to mp3 at 128Kbps and made some artwork. Todays extra download is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted. They are called The Black Angels and this is a set that they performed at the Hotel Vegan, Austin, TX on the 16th March 2012. The band have been around since 2004 and have released 5 albums in total. They play a sort of psychedelic rock which sounds top notch... if you don't know this band, give 'em a try...... Todays second download is a set by Foster The People that was recorded at the Coachella Music And Arts Festival on the 17th April 2011. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from th soundboard and sounds top notch. This is the first bootleg by FTP that I've posted - although I've posted the bands first studio album and also an acoustic session in the past. This is only a short set - which ends with the bands most well known song "Pumped Up Kicks". If you like Foster The People - grab this one - this is thoroughly recommended.... This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. I've not posted much by TGS over the years - only a couple of shows according to my files. This is a good show and if you like TGS - you will want this one - it really rocks with some classic tracks including covers of "Little Red Rooster" and "Games People Play".... this is great stuff and thoroughly recommended...
