From what I am reading it seems that Tusk Juncker Barnard are resisting pressure from the European parliament to be involved in the negotiating process. Far from scuppering the brexit they appear to be genuinely interested in a deal but on their terms. However the EU parliament could chuck this out years from now. The alternative for the UK to just crash out is just about palatable to the EU as they are tired of the never-ending problems with the UK. IMO only.

But..but...but...Obama was scaremongering and interfering when he said 'get in the queue', wasn't he? He can't have been warning us out of friendship and mutual respect, surely?

Well that's usual newspaper stuff but I did notice they are considering reviving TTIP. A trade deal with the USA why? They are our biggest trading partner without any deal and their Ambassador here says no trade deal makes it far easier to trade. (yes I know). regards

Trump won't betray Britain. It isn't in his dna. We will have a good deal with the US. Many of the left with their anti-Americanism do nothing but harm this country.
