I don't think the second home in Provence crowd care about the Euro.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Doesn't seem likely to happen, a least for a few years, when neither party wants to take the lead. There is also the issue of adopting the Euro which will deter a lot of people.

When we didn't adopt the Euro whilst a full member why would we if we renegotiated our "deal" on softer terms?

That could be one of many a ‘red line’ for the eu for us to rejoin with a ‘better deal’.
How would you feel about it if it was one of them?

Aren't all new members obliged to use the Euro? The previous opt-out clause we had would be invalid.

The self serving Brussels gravy trainers would be so desperate to have us back they may not make it a red line. However, it's all hypothetical unless Labour make another referendum a manifesto promise, which they won't unless they want to say goodbye to the red wall forever
