What counts more is how effective they are, which is mainly based on how modern. And also scale, the Royal Navy displaces 433,800 Tonnes, the Italian Navy 275,000. Bet theirs have actual planes toughs.......

He wouldn"t have wasted £36 billion on a failed track and trace system either. I rest my case, and not that i"m championing Sir keir, anybody would have done a better job than big dog bungle, and his crony brown nosing cabinet-the sooner they go the better- thou i can"t see it happening just yet.

It would be fine for them to sit together after in the office-just the invitations with "bring a bottle" give the game away- if you are going to make the rules, stick to them. If you don"t know what a bring a bottle party is, youre in the wrong job, perhaps more suited to bungle bear entertainer or a host dressed as peppa pig in piggy land! As much as you die hards keep defending them , this rabble are slowly getting through to the country as hardship eats in, 57% want bungle out, nearly 6 in 10, im waiting for the i dont vote for them comment, strange how so many on here who don"t admit to voting for them keep defending them Ted!

Thanks Maple, very informative, but the mere fact Italy have as much as us is quite shocking, they might be better at football than us, actually win trophys, but I was sure we outflanked them on the seas!

Its difficult to see what use aircraft carriers are, together with all the proliferation that goes with them. They have to be accompanied and defended by the latest aircraft, modern ships and even a nuclear submarine. They would take 7-10 days to get anywhere meaningful and leak like sieves. The cost of running them is stratospheric at the moment they are in port well away from the conflict. Russia only has one aged aircraft carrier, they are 'a floating target' - Putin's words. Had we spent the money on rapid reaction mobile forces, upgrading tanks and the latest tech, cyber, we would be in a far better position to counter Russia, which has been our number one threat not anything in the far east.

Future Partygate revelations may be even worse for Boris Johnson, says Tory MP. There were more parties and Johnson lied about them all to the HOC as well. Why people want to defend them is 'beyond belief'.

I wasn’t aware I was defending them; the politicians we have, of any persuasion, are mostly not worthy of any respect let alone dying hard for.
