Instead of - today's death figures have fallen slightly; positive cases have fallen and as for number of deaths - true - but not on a up-to-date per year of population basis!
We need some positivity and they spin it to make it even worse than it already is.
They are a journalistic disgrace!!!!!

Problem being if they put down a reduction some stupid persons will assume it's over. I get your point totally.

We have the worst figures for covid deaths in the world per 100k people, why do you want the bbc to massage the figures to sound better? 90K TODAY, really 106k, no point pretending and giving people false figures so they take chances out there!

Err what are you on about?

This is a news story about falling revenues and viewing figures at the BBC nothing to so with COVID or any other news story.

That is absolutely not true - not even true in Europe.
Please at least check the figures before you post!
We are high but lower than some - notable Belgium and Italy

I understood the covid deaths when it was a daily count, I looked out for it.

Now like anything in the media, it looks like any spun figure and you have to try and work out what it means other than trying to frighten everybody.

What did stand out for me was the shock horror deaths for the year 2019 being the worst since WW2 etc.

In fact you have only to look back 10 years to find the total of deaths being about the same, due to advances since then.

What ive noticed is, there are NO other deaths apart from Covid although 'auntie' does put in very small letters in its daily figures spin "incl all deaths"

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
