You are a total knob suggesting that the government would like the old to die for financial reasons. In fairness, that’s not far from the truth. Italy are triaging according to who is closest to life rather than death. Already over here plenty of ‘official unofficial’ guidance being talked about re. not treating people of a certain age group once this gets going in other hospitals other than the one in Harrow. I still don’t think most of the population has any real grasp of how bad this will get. Especially when I see some of these morons shoved in front of cameras for vox pops. What the actual f*** are they doing? Natural selection will work its magic.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

We are a nation that’s been subject to decades of demoralising propaganda.

In one of my local alchoholic establishments there was great sadness as friendships forged from meeting in such a social gathering was going to be severed for an unknown period. Those that have met on a regular basis enjoying a tipple or two as acquaintances will now have to undergo a period where such social interaction is put on hold whilst observing that staff who have served them with exemplary customer service will be seeking new employment until such time, whenever that is, the drinking and eating establisment returns to normal working.Few tears about - very sad.

There are plenty of us with 'stiff upper lips'.....We are just outnumbered.....social liberalism encourages dependency and too much dependency results in vulnerability and weakness.

If some of the predictions are right and we don't get an effective vaccine reasonably soon or those cures touted turn out to be BS then I think we need to be realistic. Are we really expecting our golden oldies and those who are healthy but have common existing conditions like high blood pressure....do we expect them to stay in and become hermits for as long as it takes.....years perhaps? (I'm expectant that it won't be) Now I do completely support the idea that we do ask 'at risk' people to self isolate and set up systems to protect and reduce the risk to themselves...family really matters here and where non exists the state should try to help....But lets be clear here....For most, nothing is going to keep people indoors for months on end......we aren't talking about the Xbox generation here. From what we know so far it's obvious that the young should look to avoid contact with those fifty and up or those known to be immune weak.... as they could just pass on a murderous virus without them, in some cases, even noticing that they have anything wrong with them as their healthy system deals with this respiratory virus as it does pathogens every day. This said, we had to live with smallpox and measles before vaccines.....We went through wars with tens of millions of dead. People would go to shops and jobs every day when any minute a bomb from the sky could have ended them....risk is an inherent and unfortunately unavoidable part of life.....something is coming for all of us...life is both the alpha and omega. Fit adults need to make their own decisions about their lives and the risks they take with them......especially when faced with the length of restrictive living that is being suggested.....If the warmer weather doesn't knock this down I'm going to find it hard to criticise people for normal behaviour.
