This post has been merged from a topic called 'Is it Foolish to dismiss Ranieri? ' by Guntrisoft which contacts? Contacts to spent bloody millions on unproven foreigners? Chuck unlimited money at things and we all can get a squad. But if you look at who Silva got in for Hull I would say that proves he has a much, much better eye for that side of the game then Ranieri. We stayed up because Sam got Luka and Sakho in. Getting Luka is not about contacts, its about football knowledge, knowing what a team needs, set your sights on realistic targets rather then buy blind and spent money on "names". Hence Mancini would be an awful choice. Originally posted by black eagle.
Surely Raniere should be considered. He knows the prem and has the contacts.

You might think Raniere spent untold cash but in that winning side he got the best out of Wes Morgan and one or two others who played in the championship. Silva worked wonders at Hull and I believe he could be the he next big thing. If where going for now it should be Raniere. If where going for now and the future it should be Silva.

There are quite a few out of work. McClaren, Di Matteo, Ranieri, Pearson, Pearce, Moyes, Mancini, Hodgson, Hiddink, Clarke, Adkins, McLeish, Hoddle, Van Gaal, Zola, Silva etc etc. Edited by Willo (27 May 2017 8.38am) Out of that lot Raniere, Silva and Hoddle.

Judging from paper talk, Silva is headed to Watford. Still think the rumour mill is a mile off and bookie odds reflect punters a lot more than intelligent analysis of the market. The Hodgson speculation is based on his being a Palace youth player. How many years ago was that? I think there are candidates out there that are flying under the radar. Big Sam supposedly made a recommendation that very few seem to have noticed.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Sean Dyche is the best man for the job!' by Guntrisoft The idea that Dyche won't attract big names is farcical. Footballers talk and Dyche is well known now for being a very good coach. Plus, at the end of the day money and location play a more important role in acquiring players. As a London club we're lucky with location. Can't believe people writing off Dyche as an option. If his name was Roberto DiDychio we'd be falling over ourselves to get him.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Glenn Hoddle.' by kenbarr Yes yes yes I think he's shunned management in recent years, but would imagine he might enjoy the Palace project and working for Parish. Great idea Edited by Goldfiinger (27 May 2017 11.23am)
