Heathrow Airport alone 75,000,000 passengers 2015. Net migration for the whole of the UK 295,000. I don't think immigration levels will have any effect on future planning from the airline industry, Hoof, nor from the Department of Transport, do you? Edited by Kermit8 (14 Apr 2017 12.11pm) "Only" 295,000 arrived officially last year..... but you ignore the tens of Millions that have arrived since I was born in 1954, many of whom have had children and probably grandchildren and brought over relatives all now using Heathrow to go backwards and forwards to their "homelands". Do we just ignore these then and consider them British once they've arrived and ignore their impact on our infrastructure? So, with that in mind.... YES I think immigration levels will CONTINUE to have a dramatic effect on the future planning of the airline industry and it's futile you or anyone else pretending otherwise. I watched a TV programme yesterday about the demise of the old suspension bridge over the Firth of Forth which is now handling double the amount of traffic it was designed to carry when it was completed in 1964. Unsurprisingly a new bridge is now being constructed at a cost of Billions to the tax payer because we have allowed our population to spiral out of control and everything in our infrastructure is groaning and breaking down as it is being overworked continually. Even the underground is considering being used 24/7 to cope with demand and that will mean essential maintenance currently carried out between midnight and 5am will have to be scaled back which can only mean more major breakdowns and a reduction in safety. But don't you worry Kermit "Only" 295,000 arrived last year....

Immigration leading to airport pollution? That would be a hilarious comment but unfortunately he is delusional and serious. It just shows the desperation some people stoop to when they don't like people from another country working hard, earning a living and paying taxes in the UK because they themselves simply can't offer the same work ethic or competitivness. Edited by europalace (14 Apr 2017 12.20pm) Read my reply to Kermit above Mr Smartarse.... Your refusal to accept the effects of over population sadly is not hilarious.
