As some one eloquently put it recently the average death toll weekly since March is approx 51 Deaths a week. That's certainly something to be thankful for. In all likelihood it will be back into the hundreds per day in a month or two, but that's a policy consequence of dampening down during the lockdown. As grim as it is to think about, it spread to over half of old folks homes, the most vulnerable of settings, and so I doubt the numbers will get as high as they did first time around. Plus there is better access to treatments and those who need to keep their head down know how best to protect themselves.

Haha, so even when the percentage of positives increases by several hundred percentage it's all explained away in an instant. Or could be go beyond the one tone safety net and say that numbers might be rising amongst students 'and' consequently others too. Hospital numbers will be on the rise too. They aren't students. I doubt they will get to previous highs, and am thankful for it, but there's no getting away from the fact that there is an uptick right now. I'm not saying anything particularly difficult to comprehend. A stones throw back you were supporting the view that your guess a minute pal Michael Yeadon was pushing when the numbers were low, that the 'pandemic is over' and the government just didn't want to tell people. That aged well. Let's get back in the real world. The numbers are clearly rising and that may well increase community spread and so it's useful to know especially for the vulnerable. The ridiculous thing as stated, is that I'm not even for a nationwide lockdown or anything or that nature, but you're so distressed at anyone saying anything that doesn't entirely mirror your view that you can't help but latch on and disregard points of agreement. Yep. Nothing to lose perspective over. It’s an uptick in respiratory virus season including flu funnily enough. He’s been making the point that there’s nothing to say it’s a 2nd wave. There’s more falsifying of numbers and now we have them putting out documents they’re bundling flu and Covid together in reports. How do you know they’re not bundling the numbers together? You are aware a Covid test on a hospital patient for anything goes down as an ‘admission’ right? And many patients that aren’t filling up wards like they’re reporting are discharged after 5 days. So the virus weakening and/or treatments are improving. Could well be both. None of this points to it being the out of control problem being claimed, or is showing it’s going to be, which is MY’s point, plus that of the lying and falsifying of information and other stuff he’s put to Hancock, whitty and Sage but they’ve avoided him at every turn. Funny that. Ignore a complete crackpot with years in respiratory diseases. Now why would they do that? The web of ?

Testing is accurate enough that we don't need to lump positive covid tests for those with covid symptoms as 'its probably the flu', just because you'd prefer to view it that way. He’s been making the point that there’s nothing to say it’s a 2nd wave. He endorsed a statement based on the falling lockdown numbers that they wouldn't go up. They have and they will, as will deaths somewhat (Covid-19 deaths today the highest since 10th June, near 5000 people in hospital, 760 patients admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours alone, plus numbers of ventilators all highest since May/June time - it's not all 'students testing positive', and 'people with the flu'). Skip back a couple of dozen of pages on here and the very idea that numbers would rise again was laughed at. I'm not obliged to tag along with whatever conspiracy is 'in' this week. The situation is clearly getting worse again. It appears that you've now already decided in advance that increased covid cases or deaths will frequently be miscategorised as the flu, so I don't suppose the positives or the deaths are going to be meaningful to you either way. The mental gymnastics at work to deny the obvious realities of a pandemic.. For what it's worth I don't really think there would naturally be a second wave as such left to its own devices. However, due to a lockdown of months that interrupted the spread, it's clear that it does in effect create what amounts to a second wave of infections, which is what we are seeing now.

What I’m about to post Michael Yeadon’s tweets is pretty much my thinking and how it’s also been influenced or in agreement with Michael Yeadon. I live in down here, and the point that Bluejay made that the intervention has caused a 2nd something is probably likely, in the North. What this spells out is that immunity does hold a lot of water. The point that the increase in percentages testing positive does of course make sense, but there is the big point that they’re going out searching for as many positives as they can get, and that couldn’t have been more obvious than when they stepped into fully populated student areas. The table proves they’re the highest areas. I wonder how far from 1-20 it goes down? 1-200-300-more student postcodes. Again, these student areas do not mix with the locals anything like the people reporting and showing the data want them to. They could take it home in December of course, but that stands more chance of happening if they lock them indoors. No chance of that with 2nd and 3rd years. And for immunity it’s no bad thing either. But it’s been used to paint this apocalyptic picture yet again. This is what’s annoying everyone. All elderly people I’ve spoken to aren’t taking risks, and I expect the same in Scotland due to their despot. In the North? Maybe it does depend on the social class/education/intelligence if you like of the person. I did notice & get the feeling the govt don’t think the elderly people in the poorer places don’t take notice due to intelligence if not opinion. Soap and water and personal space outside of your front door isn’t expensive. Similar on the hygiene with a lot of northerners. We scoff at them and they think we’re softies.
