I stumbled on the last 15 mins of the ITV “debate”:last night. I don’t watch such things as they seem to be just a pointless ritual we must go through at election time.

Farage was on it. As he seems to be on every such show. I wouldn’t vote for any party he was involved with but if I needed any convincing that this guy is an empty headed, dangerous populist something he said last night would have convinced me. He argued for more referendums to “let the people decide themselves”. So much for Parliamentary democracy then! Here comes capital punishment and sinking small boats.

Then I read this morning that there is growing evidence that there is foreign interference, via social media, in this election. This time to try to direct votes to Reform. Just as happened during the Brexit vote, with support provided for Leave.

Why, and who would do that? Whilst this time no linkage has yet been established, during Brexit it was traced to the Russians. Why seems to be to create more division and upset in a western democracy. They have done it in the USA and elsewhere before, and doubtless were active during the recent EU elections.

Bots are posting multiple messages, all very similar, under fictitious names, which are not being screened out as they should be.

Reform themselves are unlikely to be involved, but they are benefiting from it.

Hahaha!

You are really are funny.

We didn't fall for that crap the last time.

Please don't insult us with such nonsense.

It says something about the state of the country that Mr Farage and the crazy manifesto of Reform appears to be the only sane choice to me. proposing a shake up of ideas rather than wheeling out the Same old churning of the same policies that have apparently failed the Tories so badly.

Even as a traditionally Tory voter, 14 years in charge is enough for any one party. We need a 'new leadership bounce', after all these last few years have been a bit crap politacally, so more of the same is not a good vote this time round. I won't be voting Conservative.
Labour don't exist anymore (unless Corbyns new party arrive), but can't stand this party. Their whole 14 years of opposition has been one of sh*t throwing at the Tories, without offering any solutions. I won't be voting Labour.
I took a skim through the Lib Dem manifesto and tended to disagree with nearly all of it. It also offered no details about how they will achieve their plans. just bland statemenst like 'we will reduce tax'. I shall not be voting Lib Dems.

This leaves the remaining parties generally considered 'Throw away votes', Reform UK and Green Party.
Green Party are for Local council elections. I don't view them as a viable option for a GE. not big enough, and policies aren't wide reaching enough. I won't be Voting Green.

I actually like the Reform UKs manifesto - it actually offers a plan, albeit radical and therefore probably unlikely to succeed, but it seems to have identified the actual issues this country faces and offers some kind of solution to them. Also, as Brexit was ultimately their idea (under the guise of Ukip), they are probably best placed to implement the ideas to make it a success. As opposed to the other parties who all didn't (and don't) really want it to happen. If the GE was today, id vote Reform UK. which scares me slightly.

Only when Wisbech says so. Otherwise, it must be true.

I will be voting Reform, not because I like Farage particularly not because I think they will get in.

It is my anti Tory vote in the hope that the Tory party will face up to the election disaster and sort it's self out. There is a huge gap between it's supporters / voter base and the MPs. Most of the MP's are not Tories but Labour light.

If people want to vote for that fair enough but they need to stop pretending they are the heirs of Thatcher.

I am only reporting what others have found! You can find their work if you bother to look rather than dismiss it because it doesn’t suit you.

It wasn’t “crap” the last time. It was authenticated by the security forces who warned the government about it, who decided there was nothing they could do.

If you think this is just nonsense you really aren’t paying attention. There is a cyber war underway designed to undermine the Western World. Those who pick up some of the messages and repeat them are the gullible foot soldiers of our enemies. Some of their commanders being people they trust implicitly as doyens of the hard right.

No insult intended. Just a wake up call.

Personally, I'm with Jim. This election tittle tattle is just getting futile. Like school kids in the playground.

If the Labour crew win, as looks depressingly likely, the country will be calling for change in a couple of years when our taxes have gone through the roof, we're crawling back to the EU, immigration is sky high, NHS waiting lists are longer than ever and the economy is bust.

History repeating itself, but unfortunately there is a large chunk of the electorate who don't remember the mess the last Labour government left behind.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
