I met Mark Bright on Sunday on a charity football walk and he said a few interesting things. I originally asked him what the odds are on Wilf leaving...

He said that if a big offer comes in from a Champions' League club, they'll have a very difficult decision to make. If Wilf shows a big interest, they are worried about him being unhappy being made to stay.

He said they can see something different about Wilf when he came to training after the Summer. He seems to either have been thinking about the WC/CL or had his head turned.

He said Wilf's agent works with the club a lot and represents a few of the players. He doesn't think the agent is pushing the move on Wilf.

He said Parish has been quiet this Summer as he's a fan and cares about the fans. He doesn't like to either lie or appear to have lied to the fans as he wants their trust. I read this to mean when he doesn't deny something, there's a big chance it could happen.

My opinion having had this 10 min conversation is that if he's going, we'll sell him early enough to spend the money on replacements. No-one had made a bid as of Sunday. The longer time goes on, the less likely it is happening this window...

It's a bit concerning that he is talking about this publicly given his role within the club.

f*** that, it is of course all of our business to rate a pic like that and it makes me wonder and not in a good way. Understand the sentiment Rudi, it is only a pic on social media but how can you not interpret that as a statement.

Apparel like this on anyone leaves me a bit miffed. Maybe it can be explained a bit better than in 4 words what someone means by this but it’s a bit odd. Like the opposite of a principled celebrity.

Someone will say it’s nobody’s business what someone wears but if you wear stuff with slogans and bizarre ones it does attract comment.

He probably didn't expect a private conversation to be reproduced on a Palace supporters forum

I thought you'd prefer it to newspaper speculation.

What would be funny is if someone went through life with that mantra, and I’ve met a few who do, would be to throw the ‘not friends’ half of the paid away without him knowing.

As we are all still in the dark regarding Wilfs future , This has Surely got to affect are transfer targets .I would have thought that without exception they would have asked the same question as us the fans in negotiations.”Before I sign is Wilf Staying as it’s quite important and a potential deal breaker “ And the answer is ?

Not sure why.
We will go down if Wilf goes. He should be told he still has 4 years on his contract and to get over it. If he sulks it will only impact negatively on him and his career.

he's not going anywhere - even if he does want to they'll just say 'no, wait till next summer' - and Wilf won't do a Mahrez.

And the answer is disappointing - it is probably in one of the many threads covering player wages and fairl pay regulations and home grown players and Ron Noades’ mother’s is a whore.
