I am sorry to hear that, more sorry of course for the victim. Sounds like he is drifting down the wrong path and by the time he wakes up he may well have ruined his chances for a good life.

I know lots of middle age people who in their youth got into trouble looking for easy money (mainly white people, this is not a racial point).

To a man they all bitterly regret their actions and are envious of people like me. As one said to me you are well off because you are honest. Most of these folks have done a series of low paid dead end jobs. One guy was an armed robber who held up building society's, the money was spent in a couple of weeks and he did 7 years. Its a cliche but crime really doesn't pay as you will never get a good job which is the only way to financial security.

7mins You should not feel guilty as you tried your best to mentor him. I just hope that this young man realises before its too late.
