(Also it is the mirror and thus could/probably is BS) It's total BS, yet another poor journalistic research yarn. How can a side run at a profit in the Premier League be subject to FFP investigation it's utter rubbish, the Journo James Nursey needs a swift kick up the pants and told to up his game. Heres another story that paints a different picture. [Link] Edited by Sg Bilko (26 Aug 2015 4.08pm)

you are bit of a tospot arent you? Unfortunately, there's no such thing. Many, however, would agree that I'm a tosSpot. In the landscape of extinction, precision is next to Godliness.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 What do readers think of the following possible scenario? Let Gayle go to Norwich City FC for the reported £10m to then spend towards Austin that would also factor in player exchange e.g. Campbell. Other issue might be Austin's wages but we know that he would ideally stay in London.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 Some people here need to get a basic understanding of supply and demand. If I read another post suggesting selling Campbell I think I'm going to scream. It doesn't matter whether we want to offload Campbell or not. What matters is whether another team wants him. We KNOW there is interest in Gayle, Murray, Bannan, and Guediora. That's why discussing selling them is sensible. But much as some people seem to want to sell Campbell, you cannot do that if there is no interest from other teams. So it's a pointless suggestion/conversation. Whether he's a good player or not doesn't even come into it.

Plus Campbell is probably happy being 3rd/4th choice striker which the others probably aren't. We need to have that as an option in case the unthinkable happens. This a business after all and 10 mil (reportedly, I think it will probably be closer to 6) for Gayle with only this year and next on his contract (and doubtful he will sign another unless he's starting regularly - which he wont and in my opinion shouldn't) and 5 mil for Murray is damn good business at that. I like them both and certainly wont be doing cartwheels when (and if) they go, but as business decisions go, its the right thing to do.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Charlie Austin (rumour)' by james03 The trouble is with this one is it isn't just a case of when West Brom get their money for Berahino they'll need another striker. It's that Austin has 'Pulis player' written all over him. Only Tony Pulis could drop a young sensation like Berahino because he's not 7 foot and digs his elbows in. If Pulis gets the chance to "sell" it to Austin he will pratically say his attack will be built around him. He'll be his Crouch. I'm not sure we'd make it like that with the new way we play plus Wickham/Bamford/Campbell and possibly one of Gayle/Murray in reserve.
