He said he was very emotional. Head vs Heart. 50 50 perhaps?

Eddie on Solent......

"I can tell you that I have a very diffcult decision to make. This club supporters, players, mean so much to me . Decision will be made over next few days. Don’t want to mess anyone around. Supporters have been brilliant and so good to me. That doesn’t mean I’m leaving. Never going to leave this club on a whim. Loved every minute of this job and when you are somewhere where you are liked and respected it’s special. I’m anguished because people say it’s a nice position to be in but I’m very torn and when they players perform like that it makes it even harder and the players feel like family. Very proud to be their manager. Fully aware out of respect to everyone I need to get a move on but mustn’t make a snap decision. The dog is going to get a few extra walks"

Implied he was in discussions with the Bournemouth board. Don't think there's anything you can read into that either!!!!

So - still looks like nothing is decided....quite yet.

yeah reckon in his head its now...leave and start a new challenge and maybe become more successful or stay and finish off the job you started...thank god i haven't got to make that choice.

can't argue with that really. Seems like he need some time alone with his family to consider this important decision. For the reasons he gave there if he were to turn us down, i would have huge respect for him.

However, what I would say, surely if he has to strongly consider leaving, his mind can't be totally on the job anymore. Just a thought...

Kinsella and Charlton/Howe? Can't see what you're on about. Kinsella was sacked by Charlton last week!

It'll be difficult for him to leave if he does decide to go. He watched from the terraces as a fan as a boy, went through the youth team, made his debut at 17, was sold for half a million and had a bad injury at Pompey which meant he only played 2 games. Was bought back to the club via 'EddieShare' wehere we all dipped in to get him back. Had to pack up as a player 3 years later, became youth coach and ventually manager. He's never had a nasty word said about him from the terraces in all the time he's been at Bournemouth (15+ years).

Ings? Too early to say. Only played 3 times.

All managers will have a heart vs head moment. Howe will stay in my mind but he will regret it if he does. I just think our board, our club, our fans and our potential suit him down to the ground. Even if we go down he'll turn us round in time.
