....., I'd rather see a return to the true Plantagenet line. I believe that the family gambled their money away on the horses (late 1800's early 1900's (ish))and the current heir is an Auzzie (emmigrated in the second half of the last century). Persannally you take your Angles, Saxons, Normans, Vikings and Jutes back to Northern Europe and leave us Britons alone.

It was a PRIVATE party - he can wear what he wants. If he goose-stepped down Pall Mall every morning I'd say "Oi Harry Nooooo" but lighten up - if he went as Ghengis Khan would that have been as terrible? Hitler is part of history now. Harry was not belittling, defending or supporting the Nazi atrocities he was just dressing up as a historical character (albeit a bit of a bad egg). Fair play to the lad for not taking the easy option and turning up in the gorilla costume.
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

I'm liking Harry more and more. At least he makes the royal family a bit more interesting.
It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. - John Bostock (Nov 2007) |

But he is not a private person, he has a public role and will be paid handsomely for this in the future , if he wants to be a private person then he can renounce his title and not make any claim from the civil list in the years to come. The only interesting thing I want to see happen in the Royal family is its abolition. The idea that someone is born into a role that states that they are above every other person in the land is obscene in 2005. I'm sick of seeing them ponce around the world on our money (think Andrew and Edward.) I want to be a citizen in my own country not a subject! And the Queen still has power, which could be used by her or, by way of the Royal prerogative, by governments. I hope I see an end to it in my lifetime.

How do you know your line goes all the way back to the Britons? I'd love it if mine did, but it don't and nor does the majority of Brits!

2 Check the sole of your left foot. It'll say in woad made in Briton. Seriously if you are English you don't have chance (apart from one or two of the Cornish).

Well piss off to a republic then! I do not have to leave this country just because I don't like the way it is organised, governed and run. I want to stay in this country but turn it into a republic, as is my right.

I have the right to try, by peaceful and democratic means, to rid this country of the monarchy.

Regardless of the "fun" in dressing up as a Nazi (please do enlighten me), Harry was a complete t*** to have made such a choice. I personally think he's out there to wind up as many people as he can, which makes me think he's even more of a s***.
Tell us, if you were a prince, what fun rib-tickling costume would you have worn?
I'm not his advisor, but if he insists on a little satire, why not go as a royal butler. It fits the colonials theme just as well as a Nazi.
It's just a matter of crossing the i's and dotting the t's |
