I can't remember any p/ex but we stung em for £500K for Ricky Newman - that must of been part of the deal!Chucked Bobby Bowry in their direction and got £110K for Phylis Barber. If only we'd sold 'em Trevor Aylott!

Just looking at the lists brings back so many memories and i can only comment from 1990! Bruce Dyer was the most infuriating player, had potential but just could not show it! Ricky Newman was one on my mind, what about Rhys Wilmott? Keeper, who was back up to Nige, he was just not very good. Bowry was not very good but i remember him scoring against Villa in a 1-0 win in one of the first matches i went to. It was so much sweeter that my brother, sitting next to me, was a Villa fan. Bowry always keeps a place in Palace for me, but again he really wasn't very good! Harrison- dear Lord why did he ever get to wear the sacred red and blue. Zohar- i remember that Soton penalty and did he not push someone (maybe Dyer) out of the way to take it as well? Or is that my wicked imagination concocting a suitable story to make us hate him even more! Ismael- overrated and overplayed, and what was that thing he wore on him wrist each week?!Probably something his friend gave him! Mind you, the number of players we have going through our doors we are excused for a few rubbish ones.

Akinbiyi wins it for me hands down. Craig Harrison was not great but I remember that cross he put in to Morrison a few years ago against Liverpool or Sunderland I think and Clinton twisted the defender inside out and scored! We went on to win the game so my memories of CH are ok.

Akinbiyi was not the worst player we've had, his effort alone surely rules him out of being the worst player. Harrison and Austin were poor, but definately not bad enough to put on this list. I remember cringing whenever Gareth Taylor got the ball, he was poor, however not going bad for himself nowerdays in the Welsh national team.
