If they don't make it, their last match will be on Thursday. In any case, wouldn't you expect a French Olympian to stay with the wider Olympic team until the end of the games ie until Sunday. As a professional footballer, he would surely still be able to make the Brentford game, but I would understand it if he were to be allowed a holiday.

I must admit I've always enjoyed watching Nafissatou Thiam in the past With reference to last night's women's 800 metres final, aside from Keeley Hodgkinson's more obvious admirable attributes, it was so refreshing to see a young person speaking about her performance without every other word (or indeed any of her words at all) being 'like'.

Yes Thiam is no oil painting but there are the continental girls and check out Anna Hall of the USA.
