You’re missing the point. This is a great time for the club but it doesn’t depend on whether he stays or goes. I’d love him to stay but if he doesn’t want to be part of what the club is building then he can go for 68 million and that money will help bring in more talent. I’m optimistic about our future with or without Eze and Olise.

You don't know that.

If he leaves, then others might leave.

We need to show ambition at a crucial point in our development.
Selling one of our best players would not be a good look.

Wharton, Olise`,Guehi, Eze, let 'em all go and we can look forward to many happy years in the Championship or lower. What is wrong with football. It all stinks

Let the 'big clubs' have all the best players and go join their effin super league and leave us proper football clubs to play with true fans to watch, in a 'our' own divisions.

I hope our stars will realise they are just that at SE25 - Stars Give us at least a season or two before chasing the big bucks and glamour of siting on a bench in a rotation system.

And probably have to do so before 1st July to avoid PSR problems. Apparently, they are one of six PL clubs who need to sell before the deadline to keep within the rules. Could be some relative bargains as the deadline approaches and Little Ol' Palace took out a loan to buy some players - hmmm...

I would have thought that it would demonstrate to potential signings that we are somewhere where they can come, develop, get international recognition and then potentially get a move to an elite club.

It would be brilliant if Eze stays and we can keep him, Olise and Mateta together next season. However, we have to be realistic that selling these players occasionally is probably part of our model.

I'm trying to be philosophical about this. Guehi is probably off and Eze may well be the same. If we sell them for £100m+ but replace them with Riad and Kamacha, both evidently very good players, for £10-15m, that possibly leaves us with funds to strengthen other areas.

We have to keep faith that Glasner, Freedman and Parish have a plan here and sadly that won't automatically include keeping all of our players at the club.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

If I were a player at palace right now, having seen the impact of OG, I Would definitely be staying for at least another season.

Reasons:

We have a very good chance of doing a Villa next season. Which means unless it’s City, Liverpool or Arsenal what’s the point. We are in the same conversation now as spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle etc.

We have no fear of points deduction as far as I’m aware at this stage. Lots of the big boys do.

Players are not being held back at Palace for a route into the national teams.

Everyone was playing at there peak and with a smile on there face under OG.

Hardly going to starve on the money being paid at Palace and all our big guns are young enough to get a bumper move and probably for even more options and mega bucks after a full year of Oli ball.

It’s Palace… what could possibly be better

Money money money!!!
We are unable to offer enough of it and that will likely seal the deal.
I hope to be proved wrong though.

This is my view too. Whereas we may be able to pay close to 'top dollar' for one - or at a push two - star players, we simply don't have the revenue to pay big money to the rest of the squad.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

With respect to the players, they have to earn their wages. If they want more money they can stay with us and share in the success of the team and club or as individuals pi$$ off and take what they can get elsewhere.

Quite possible the club will offer a revised deal

Palace can pay them an extra £50,000 a week as long as the new contract has a much higher release clause

Pay the player £2.5m more in wages and set the release clause £10m higher

Hope Parish & Co sit down and talk with our star players. Offer them a raise in salaries incl. bonuses for achievements. Be open and promise them they can leave if "the right offer" comes along. But raise their release clauses to at least to 100 mill. We are not a small potato anymore, the money clubs want our best players - let them pay for them.
