You look at the stats and we outran Villa. Even in injury time our players were running like it was a close game. With a preseason, the return of Doucoure and a couple of new faces to replace Tomkins and Jairo we could be something special next season, I just hope our front three stick around to help us achieve it.

What a time to be a Palace fan!

That game is our season in a nutshell, outplaying just about everyone with 10 games to go. The other 28 bordering on the forgettable, the players and management have been incredible lately and I’m not sure what to expect next season.

Hopefully we can hold onto the backbone of the side and add a bit more depth to the squad which we really do need.

As for Villa today, as I said “ will play with their sliders on” but Christ almighty I don’t think European football clubs will have sleepless night with them in the Champions League….

What a truly incredible few month.
Really best period i can recall in my 65 years
as a Palace supporter !

The last time I felt like this was when Jim Cannon scored to seal a 4-1 victory over Ipswich to put us top of Division One.

Why worry about TODAY when TOMORROW will be even worse.

Some wonderful football, fabulous result. 10th in the league.

My only regret was not seeing a goal from Michael after he was deliberately fouled in a few promising positions.

Good to see Ollie put on the lads who are leaving for a last hurrah. Never mind our best players, our manager will be much in demand after the way he has transformed us. I watched a stream with a foreign commentator who I couldn't understand, but he seemed to be eulogizing about Glasner all match.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

There in a nutshell was why you'd have to say that Freedman made the right call when he had to choose which of Eze and Watkins to sign, A result like that must help persuade players to stay when offers come in for them.

A remarkable turn around since the arrival of Glasner, players now playing to the ability they always had. That said, for me the POTY has to be Mateta, his improvement has truly been off the scale.
Now one can hope that this side sticks together for a season or two, with Glasner at the helm naturally.

Where did Brighton finish?

I suffer from vertigo so don't like looking down.

Watching them on the pitch (when not in play) Eze & Olise look like they will only leave if the same team buys both of them - they seem inseparably bonded and mutually supportive above and beyond the rest of the team.

As I posted earlier, he has done in a few short weeks what we always hoped Benteke would do for about 4 seasons......

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. We played pretty well throughout today's game didn't we?

Quite a remarkable period of success since Glasner came in. I don't remember a time where we have looked so much like a top side.

Olise and Eze playing together is frightening for teams and Mateta has come into his own....his goal attempt conversion is only behind Foden....Considering he wasn't pulling up trees until Glasner came in his 16 goal tally is quite something.

It's going to be fascinating what happens between now and the start of next season. How much of this offensive side can Glasner keep, what additions can we make....Will Freedman stay.

All the fun of the fair.
