now that's one that does worry me. 100% IMO Olise is much more likely to join them than United or Chelsea.

If Olise does go we should sell for nothing less than £75 and maybe more. Players of his quality, age and proven ability to shred Premiership teams just aren’t around so he has a massive premium on his shoulders. All this talk of £60m is hugely undervaluing him. Spurs, Liverpool and Villa won’t pay much and would be frustrating to deal with. Tyre kickers spring to mind. Chelsea, United and City would pay us what he’s worth without the song & dance. I think United are so desperate they would probably pay most. As much as I’d love him to stay with us I can imagine him at United Edited by XKudu (09 May 2024 11.26am)

Just my tuppence, but i reckon we could get a suprise bid from PSG . What with Kylian Mbappe heading to Real Madrid and Olise plays for France so can obviously speak the language and in the Champions league. I think he is too good for any team in the Premier League.

I reckon higher. Lets not forget he's still only 22, and already performing at this level. On his trajectory, he genuinely could be the best player in the world in a couple of years.

You do realize, don't you, that he has a release clause and he can go to whichever club he fancies that matches the figure. If the clause states £60m that is what Palace (and some to Reading) will get even if he worth £200m

I don't disagree with this. Olise would be a good fit for PSG and would be a leg up in terms of getting into the senior squad for France if he performs well there.

I have no idea if that is true but as this was a direct report from the BBC rather than the BBC rumours section it might be true.

A couple of months ago i posted up from a bbc report, not 'gossip page' that Olise & Eze's contracts had 'complicated' clauses. Tho, as this is the bbc, who knows.

I am not a fan of release clauses I don't see how it benefits the club. If there is a bidding war the only person who benefits is the player.

If Olise's agent had said to you, you can have him for 40k a week on a 30m release clause or 200k a week for no release clause, what would you have said? (And those are the only options he's willing to consider). It absolutely benefits the player but players have power to take the terms that appeal to them and reject the ones that don't.
