I am not a fan of what Grealish has become. At Villa he would attack defenders and look to win free kicks. At City he just sits on the left drifts inside and lays the ball off. I hope the same does not happen to Eze if he goes to a big club. I would much rather him taking chances and trying things than just been a player that retains possession but is ultimately boring to watch. Edited by viveasheagle (23 Apr 2024 5.41am) Totally agree. Eze style, especially when playing alongside Olise is showing everyone how we can make football exciting to watch again. Edited by dreamwaverider (23 Apr 2024 3.34pm)

Eze's comment in MoTD interview that they are finally showing what they can do with a full team - while true - is hardly a support for the sh1te that had to play while the good ones were crock. I suspect the thin squad comments may have been articulated by others elsewhere..?

This summer needs to be about beefing up the quality.

Eze not in squad today. Replaced in starting line-up by Olise.
The right place at the right time |

Not surprised he is missing today, he was subjected to a number of ‘heavy’ challenges by the Geordie thugs.

What I like about Eze, apart from his silky footwork, gliding runs and fabulous goals, is the fact that he doesn't go in for fancy celebrations when he scores. He clearly enjoys playing and owes it all to his faith in God. So refreshing not to see wild knee sliding and over the top reaction. Scoring goals is just a bit matter of fact. Wonderful artist at work.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
