It is the dilemma now as to if last night's result is good or bad for Palace going into sundays game. I think it is a positive for Palace as coming off their below par performance against Sheffield Utd it is now 2 poor games in a row for Liverpool. The reason i see it as a positive is the players they were looking to rest were forced to play at least 1/2 a game in their attempt to wrestle a result from the game. I would be much more confident if we had a full strength defence (or at least either Guehi or Richards) but i think we can be competitive and give them a decent game.
I thought we were unlucky not to get anything from the home game where the subs turned the game for Liverpool.
I am going for 2-1 defeat but i am expecting it to be close and we might eek out a draw.

You forgot to mention that the referee, Ayew and Johnstone’s injury had a major hand in the result. Notwithstanding this, our record at Anfield in the EPL, excluding Hodgson, is not bad: W3 D1 L2. I think we can get something out of this and if the Manc referee decides to support Citee a win is possible. I won’t hold my breath though.

Liverpool are running out of steam, lost 3-0 last night. Playing so many games is catching up with them, with Olise back I think a draw is achievable.

If Atalanta can do it, we can do it.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

VVD talking about using Sunday's game to relaunch their season and take that performance to Italy.

The title is far more important than Europa. Klopp will throw everything at this the way Artetta did after arsenal had their mid season wobble.

Last night was not good for us.

Sunday's all about trying to keep the score down.
We're not going to achieve a shutout v Salah, Dias, Nunez, Gakpo, Elliott plus Bradley and Robertson playing like wingers.
I can't see Liverpool losing two home games on the trot, particularly with the title at stake.
West Ham have a tough game in Europe next Thursday and our game at home to them a few days later is one to target for a win.

I've got SSN on in the background whilst I work and OG's news conference set for 13:30 for anybody interested.

If I catch it I'll post some notes

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Just a pity we will still be without our defenders.

I think the loss will be taken out on us. If not, the ref will swing it anyway. It's basically the worst time to play them - which we seem to have managed with every match this season.

Hell hath no fury like a Scouser scorned, or something like that. I fear my 7-1 'prediction' maybe a little likelier after last night's result.

Yes mate, we all know even if we do put in a great performance and give them a game, the ref and/or var will make sure Liverpool continue the title race with three points after a dodgy top team biased decision or two

Perhaps not Vs Liverpool where I'm sure we'll be defending for the bulk of the game but for some of the other matches left.. is it worth playing Schlupp as LWB instead of Mitchell?

Will give us more balance in the attacking third surely ...

When Mitchell started as a first teamer schlupp played in front of him. All through games he was coaching him and advising him. It also meant he played the left back quadrant without all the running down the wing. Like wan bissaka on the right.
